Biden v Dump 1: If not now, when? If not us, who?

I disagree...if he gets trounced he will double down it was rigged. If he thinks he cant lose a close one he will never accept he can lose badly.

But I agree with the rest...one way or the other November 3rd is going to be a landmark day. Either it is the day the country stopped itself from becoming every Democracy ever or it is the day we prove the experiment is a failure. This crap is going to make 2000 look like a bake sale.

But I am sure we are just clutching at pearls.

While I was reading this, Warren Zevon singing "Send Lawyers, Guns, and Money" actually came on my playlist. Coincidence or prognostication?

I'm actually reading a book right now by a guy who later became a Nazi: Hanns Heinz Ewers. He is a really, really, really strange writer and well let's put it this way, I'm not shocked, shocked do you hear? how he wound up. Anyway, I am fascinated by his Frank Braun trilogy even though reading them always has the stinger in the tail of his real life. And it's not like they're anodyne either. The final one is about how Jews and Germans will together Make Germany Great Again. Early returns suggest otherwise.

Yes, trump is likely to claim fraud and a rigged election if he loses 270-268 or if he loses by 500 EC votes. But if the results tend to show an overwhelming win (400+ EC votes and winning every typically blue state and at least 3 or 4 that have tended towards the Nazis lately) you might see enough republicans in the House and Senate, as well as republican governors and secretaries of states more or less accept the results. If that happens, trump either leaves on his own, or is forcibly removed. In that scenario I sort of hope for the latter. They might have to taze the fat fvck.

Nope. He's got a bunch of swing states willing to overthrow their election results. This has been in works since 1980. The Republicans saw the writing on the wall about their plutocracy and the fading dominance of the white race and they have everything in place now to stay in power forever. It's all there.

Just a friendly remind for those too fucking stupid to see what is going on in America right now.

Donald Trump won't commit to a peaceful transition of power after Election Day.

Yes, of course, shame on him for not trusting the late arrivals of ballot harvesting from Gropey von Alzheimer's basement. I mean, he's spent enough time down there, he's gotta be doing something between nappy time and Auntie Kamala changing his Depends, right?

Glad we could clear that up.

So if they arrive late then they won't do the usual verification checks they do for ones that arrive earlier? Interesting.

Don't you listen to Donnie? There are no verification checks. Anyone could have mailed in that ballot.

I wouldn't be surprised if Roger Stone and his cronies are cranking out phony ballots right this moment, just so Barr can trot them out at the appropriate time to show just how compromised the election is.

Yeah. I figure we are a few days away from them saying we can just print them on our laser printer and vote as often as we like.

So for those keeping track:
- Asking the Ukrainian President to "do you a favor" in investigating an opponent in order to get defense weapons: totally not quid pro quo!
- Paying off debts to allow people to possibly vote, but not actually telling them to vote, who to vote for, or having a way of verifying they voted the way you would prefer: totally quid pro quo!

I'm keeping track, and I hate to tell you this, but you left out a few important pieces of information ...

* Asking the Ukrainian President to fire the pesky prosecutor looking into your unqualified PoS son's business dealings, and threatening to pull $1B in aid if he doesn't - well, son of a b!tch, he got the guy fired (see below). Nothing to see here, right?

* Mini Mike very carefully selects whose debts to pay off. Profiling or soft racism? You tell us ...
