The State Supreme Courts in the battleground states would also have to abide by the Trump action I would think for it to work. Any action the legislature took to try and undermine the vote and select electors would be challenged immediately in the courts. They seem to be willing to not just bend over backwards for the Trumps in many of these voting cases. Pennsylvania has a Dem dominated court so I highly doubt they would allow this to happen for example.

I dont think you can use anything but USPS to send ballots. They are the ones authorized to do handle them and have been for decades. Again this stuff is not new plenty of states have been doing it forever.

You would have a point if the mail was running at its usual rate...but it isnt and hasnt been for a while now. And it isnt like you can mail your ballot November 4th and get it counted...the post mark has to be by a specific day or it is void.

It has to be postmarked by election day; it's not like you can send it in a week late.

Yeah the state Dept recommends dhl or similar service. You can also bring to a us embassy.

I voted for president from the uk and I think I used their local service since they were reliable but I can’t remember

You're fucking kidding, right? I will never order anything that ships by DHL after my experience with them. Two separate occasions, took them like two weeks and multiple attempts to get a package to me, despite me giving them exact directions to my doorstep.

Because that's a common practice for many government deadlines? Before the internet, many post offices stayed open until 11:59 pm on April 15 to give people last minute postmark on their tax returns.

Sounds about right. Maher has been warning everyone for a long long time now that this is what was going to happen. No one believed him. It just goes to show what happens when a party elects an Autocrat and the entire group of elected Republicans everywhere fall in line.
