I have become convinced repeating loony conservative rhetoric, even to refute it, is bad strategy. We should impose an embargo on everything conservatives say. It has no factual value, they are using shocking words to pass their real messaging around (getting their followers more angry and vicious and panicked and resentful, and most importantly making them appear more numerous than they are) and we become the carrier by repeating it.

We amplify them. We give them access to the legitimate public forum when we could contain them within the toilet of their echo chamber.

We wouldn't retell a hurtful joke, or circulate a revenge nude, to decry it. Disappear them. Unfollow, ignore, mute.

How many of you guys remember the show Taxi? One of the characters, Bobby Wheeler played by Jeff Conaway, was a struggling actor. One episode, he got into it with a theater critic who panned something he was in (or something) and got the critic to go back and see a play. The critic met with him at the taxi garage and showed Bobby the review he wrote, that was complimentary. Then he tore it up in front of him. He said something like "A good review would make you a star, a bad review will make you a hero, but no review will keep you toiling in obscurity." I think of that sentence a lot, because it's so true.

Fun fact: Marilu Henner has an eidetic memory. She famously would read a script or a play once and remember every character's line and every stage direction for the entire run.

Unfortunately, though, she has hyperthymesia. She remembers every day of her life since she was a child. I cannot imagine how horrible that is. IINM there are only like 50 confirmed cases in all of history.

Fox News has laid the groundwork for President Donald Trump to steal the election — and get away with it, according to a political scientist.

Rachel Bitecofer, an election analyst and senior adviser to the Lincoln Project, told MSNBC's "Morning Joe" that right-wing media had created an alternate reality that gave Trump's allies permission to believe he was saving democracy by stealing the election.

"Here's the thing you guys need to understand and America needs to understand," Bitecofer said. "I've been talking about this for a while, you can see this if you watch any of the congressional testimonies. In Republican world, it is they that are defending the institutional purity. Bill Barr is American hero, OK?"

"There's an information ecosystem that is different than what everybody else in America is digesting, and in it, Trump is, what he's doing — and this is how all dictators rise, right? — he's on a freedom crusade, and none of this information is getting through. They never will listen to the [Bob] Woodward tapes, they never read the Mueller report. They listen to Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity's version of these documents and they have constructed an alternative reality that started in the Jim Jordan part of the party but goes through the rank and file now, and that is a key feature."

Apparently Trump is naming Antifa and the KKK as terrorist organizations...this should end well.

It is gonna be cute when he throws a hissy fit because the Darkies dont like him still.

Who's gonna tell him "Antifa" has no members? It is an umbrella term for people who hate Nazis and will take action to protect themselves from them.

Trump again telling supporters he needs a ninth Supreme Court justice because the election will be rigged. Just like in 2016 when he said the election would be rigged and demanded a ninth justice be added.
