I'd inverse that list. There is no arguing that all of those rivalries are big in college hockey, but the MSU vs Mich rivalry extends to all sports. BU doesn't have a football team and ND and Minn only play each other in hockey because ND is DII in other sports.

All the mention of UW-UM and UM-UND earlier in the thread seems misplaced to me. All three teams hate each other. It's like the polar opposite of a menage-a-trois.

Either way, I feel like you have to give it up to BC-BU. There's just something to be said about taking the equivalent of the UW-UM rivalry and shoving it into one city.

Go to a CCHA final at Joe Louis in Detroit, and you will know that MSU/Michigan is at least number 2. I would give a tentative #1 to BU-BC.

I repeat... the title of the threat is "best rivalry in COLLEGE HOCKEY" not in all sports. Therefore, the above argument is a mute point. I don't think the MSU/Mich rivalry is the greatest in college hockey alone, not including other sports. I'm sure it's a great rivalry between the schools in general, but limited to hockey, other rivalries are going to win out. Though, I've never seen it firsthand, so who am I to judge. I could be completely wrong.

North Dakota is DI in all sports. Hopefully you got the memo recently.:rolleyes:

UMass students vs. Class
UVM fans vs. People against the legalization of marijuana
Blaise McDonald vs. A breathalyzer test
NU students vs. Roxbury homeless people

Kangas makes 45 saves, but you say he does not look impressive. Then you go on and say that the Badgers had amazing chances and outclassed the Gophers all over the ice. Now tell me again, who has the flawed logic here?
