Bemidji @ Minnesota - Rodents, Rodents, Everywhere

Re: Bemidji @ Minnesota - Rodents, Rodents, Everywhere

Yeah...Me too...I know Bemidji's attendance takes a big hit during hunting season. I heard they used to try to not schedule home games on the opener especially. How are they doing the playoffs next season? Did they ever announce that?

I haven't heard, but I haven't been paying real close attention. I'd guess a CCHA-type format, given that it's been proven that a large crowd for Thu games CAN be had (as in, it's very likely) depending on the teams involved.

Example: if it's BSU, WI, UND, MN, tUMD, MSU-M or SCSU in the Super 6......yeah, that screams sellouts for the whole weekend.

Re: Bemidji @ Minnesota - Rodents, Rodents, Everywhere

It is not that, they are NOT bad refs.... it is that fact that Shephard's call are SO F%%%ING BAD and come at such key times of the game....... he puts the "******" in ****** bag......

He puts the what in what or where?

Still the Final Five. But, it's for the final five games rather then final five teams.

First round is set up as best of 3, 1 plays 12, 2 plays 11, etc....6 winners advance to F5. Top two teams get byes, bottom four play "play-in" games on Thursday. Winners advance to play top two. Winners advance to Championship game. No 3rd place game, so our Saturday tailgating will not be interrupted for a more or less meaningless game. :D

Having two afternoon games on weekdays would be a terrible idea, absolutely terrible.

I agree. I have always thought they should keep the format the same, and teams #11 and #12 just don't make the playoffs (ASaaG's playoff idea is even more stringent). The 3rd place game can stay or go for all I care...

The third place game is a pure money grab by the WHCA, but having games on both Thursday and Friday afternoons is pure stupidity, but that would be par for the course for the WCHA. Id rather have the 3-6 game on Wednesday night, the 4-5 game on Thursday night and then have the semis on Friday and the finals on Saturday But the X might not want the F5 to be a 4 day event). or at least shift the tournament to a friday-saturday-sunday afternoon format.

Re: Bemidji @ Minnesota - Rodents, Rodents, Everywhere

The Gophers looked good in the third period, but I think it is clear that this is still a work in progress...

Re: Bemidji @ Minnesota - Rodents, Rodents, Everywhere

Good game. Score doesn't reflect the Beavers' effort.

Budish is starting to make a difference. I like it. A lot.

Re: Bemidji @ Minnesota - Rodents, Rodents, Everywhere

Critical win last night means nothing without a critical win tonight.

Go Gophers.

With the puck control and such last night, MN shoulda had a couple more goals.

But for Parise's sake, STAY OUTTA THE BOX!

That would be a great deal for the fans except replace SCSU for UND. They are a bunch of Canadians.:p ;) :D

Re: Bemidji @ Minnesota - Rodents, Rodents, Everywhere

Now wait... that is not a post full of crap. If an official is found to be consistently making bad calls and yet is given breaks that other officials aren't because of his dad. That is nepotism. Maybe they did change the uniforms because of an NHL precedent, but that doesn't excuse nepotism.

What I would like to know is where is the accountability for Shepard? All other officials are held to a standard. Is the standard compromised because of the high pressure of an upcoming Thanksgiving dinner?

Beaver fans have put up with Albers so we can definately put up with Shepherd even if he wears the maroon and gold underneath his zebra stripes.

I just want to see a little respect from the media that covers the gophers. They opened last night with one of the guys calling us the Bulldogs TWICE they didnt have our record right etc....

If its your job to announce a game do your damm homework.
Oh and Doug Woog needs to go. I cant stand to listen to his stuttering and finally switched to Biss and Schultzy after 2 periods.
