Yes, posts reggie made after yesterday's BC-Wisconsin game have been deleted. They were posted in the 2023 thread, which has been deleted.

I only realized the 23-24 thread was gone because I went looking for it when his posts that I am 99.9% sure were here had disappeared, and I wanted to see if he had simply deleted his account. When I saw his posts to Harvard threads were still there (and still are, despite your "only three post" taunt), I recognized that it was only his posts critical of BC that had been censored.

So then he did it again today so I nipped the whole argument in the bud rather than keep going back and forth with him about it.

DId I delete the thread to avoid confusion (as you've already demonstrated was apparently well-warranted)? Yes.

Did I also delete the thread because it was obvious he was only bumping it because he could tell it was annoying? Definitely.

But did I *ALSO* delete the thread because I thought it would be funny to see him lose his fking mind over posts on a message board? ABSOLUTELY, but I must admit this has exceeded even my wildest expectations. A++ grade for me.

It doesn't matter how many times or ways you try to justify it or excuse it or minimize it. Your actions here are objectionable. They are NOT excusable. Even if you somehow think it was reasonable to delete Reggie's posts - and it certainly was NOT - taking down the many posts of many other posters is a wrong that GREATLY outweights whatever justification you think you had with regard to his posts. Those posts don't "belong" to you; they are not "yours" to delete.

As frustrated as I am, and as much as I thought about boycotting this site, I am not going to give in to tony and stop posting about this subject because I obviously care a great deal about BCWIH. I can only ask that other BC fans out there please jump in. The scary thing is that tony can delete this thread as well if I start saying mean things about the need for BC to hire a new coach. Maybe I should start my own thread ? I will figure it out. Thanks again

BTW- Did Kinger really ask you to delete my posts ? Is calling for a coaching change at a top program like BCWIH that has been struggling for 6-7 years really inappropriate? Is questioning the recruiting also inappropriate to you ? Do you think its ok at BCWIH to lose 14-1 and get totally embarrassed on home ice to Wisconsin ?

I don't get the impression that reggiedunlap9 was trolling but again I could be wrong. I also don't think it would have been a bad thing to let reggiedunlop9 know ( maybe private message him?) you were going to delete the thread if he continued to post in the old thread. Again, I can't be sure but maybe you did that.

Anyway you look at it, it all seems very petty and really just deflects from the reality that bc women's hockey frankly stinks. And that is all on the coaching staff. Plain and simple.

Not sure about locking. In the previous forum universe prior to the software "upgrade", threads would be locked: 1) after reaching 1000 posts; and/or 2) when the admin locked them. Could the originator lock them as well? Don't recall. In our current world, it seems like most of the functionality is now gone, so who knows.

Most teams that have a season thread move on to a new thread the next season. That isn't a revolutionary concept. Often, the old one WAS locked, because it had exceeded the 1,000 posts. If not, people moved on to the new thread, because, it was a new season.

Originators of a thread have always had the capability to delete a thread; no special perks required. Personally, not a fan of it, unless you were the only poster in the thread (or maybe if it had to do with UND hockey -- was that ever a thing?) I do understand the frustration with someone who insists on using an obsolete thread which confuses matters, but the deletion is a bit extreme. Two wrongs and all that.

Let's just go back to talking about flavors of ice cream.
