Yeah definitely a tough one. Just misread the play is all. Other than that that might have been her best effort of the year last night.

I've always considered them to be pretty equal myself. If anything I'd give the nod to BC because of the color of their uniforms.

Now if you're talking Harvard vs. Cornell, it's not even close. In that comparison the color of their uniforms is a non-factor.

Unfair to the fourth line!

Also (as I said in a comment to this article), one stat that stands out is Skarupa's goals per shots on goal figure. Last season it was .127. This season it's .224, almost double. Last year she would keep getting breakaways, get to the net, and have nothing to do but shoot at a prepared goalie. This year Carpenter's there to pass to. I know there were some concerns this year about how the chemistry would be on a team with so many stars, but as it turns out they're truly playing as a team.

Indeed they do...It will be interesting when they actually PLAY a game against SOME of the best players in the country out west

This was also an interesting quote for a midwestern elitist to read...

"“I think being at BC there’s always a target on our back,” Carpenter said. “But we’re not concerned with that. Obviously, trying to go undefeated in the second half is going to put an even bigger bull’s-eye on our back but I think we’re up to the challenge. I think we’re only going to get better with that added pressure.”
