Atlantic Hockey Post Season Pick'em

Re: Atlantic Hockey Post Season Pick'em

This was somewhat of an oddball outcome due to all the playoff upsets in the play in round. RIT and Air Force played the two worst teams in the conference this season, which I suppose is somewhat fair. The 4 teams in Rochester, though are all pretty good teams. I don't think you can argue that any of them would have been a huge surprise. Certainly not RIT, Air Force and Holy Cross, the top 3 teams in the regular season. UCONN maybe a little bit, but it wasn't like they finished with 6 wins or something. They happen to be playing well at a time when it helps to play well.

Re: Atlantic Hockey Post Season Pick'em

Does this mean we have to pick the winner so if that team doesn't make it to the finals we are screwed? Or can we post this one Friday night/Saturday before puck drop?

You can post it before saturday puck drop if you would like. Just be sure to make a new post with it, instead of editting this one, so that I see it.

My Huskies aren't getting very much love, but I'm telling you they are a dangerous team. If they had a big nasty stay at home defenseman or two, so that Bartus didn't have to stop 50 shots, they'd be mosr htan dangerous. they'd be good.

The 1-5-1 record against HC/AFA/RIT is a bit of a red flag. To your point though, they shouldn't be written off. Any team can get hot for two games and do some damage. I don't imagine RIT players and coaches will be taking the Huskies lightly.

yeah if you give up a lot of shots that could be trouble. aic allowed 95 in two games to rit and you can see what it got them. but yeah, anything can happen in a single game.

From today's D&C profile of Amerks goalie Marc Cheverie:

"It's definitely a sore subject," he said with a tiny smile, "but I think it's good for their program. I'm not ashamed at all that we lost to them.

"We didn't take RIT lightly. They had a game plan and we had a game plan. I remember the goals they scored vividly (the first by Chris Tanev, the second by Cameron Burt). They were probably the only two mistakes we made all game and they were two big mistakes."
