Nothing is impossible, but RIT went 4-0-1 between UConn and MH this season.

Does this mean we have to pick the winner so if that team doesn't make it to the finals we are screwed? Or can we post this one Friday night/Saturday before puck drop?

(Will be interesting to see how attendance is with RIT's women in the FF, especially if both teams win on Friday. Saturday could be another historic day for RIT hockey.)

Very true that anything can happen in a single game series. I highly doubt that RIT is overlooking that. RIT embodied that last year.

I'll admit to not having seen much of UConn this year, but I have trouble believing that if both teams come out playing their best, that UConn can win.

We have won titles in everything else, we might as well win one in hockey. Also I would love to see Yale vs. UCONN in the first round at the Bridgeport regional.:eek:

This UCONN team is a dangerous one. I don't think they have the personnel to beat RIT, but they have a couple of things thatmake them tough in a 1 game series...even in a 3 game series as they showed this weekend. they have goaltending. I'm not claiming Bartus is a young Patrick Roy, but he's a nice player who can and does stop a lot of shots. He can make the palys that keep his team in games. They have a couple of scorers. And they have different style scorers. Cole Schnieder is a very good hockey player. He can put the puck in the net, but he can also set up other guys. I've seen him make some plays that were just exceptional. Latta and Ambrosie can score and Olsen is a more traditional set up in front of the net and win the scum scorer. Finally, this team seems to have a little attitude/heart of whatever you want to call it. They just don't go away. Showed it in the earlys eason at Maine and Union. showed it again Friday when they gave up a short handed goal to tie late in the second period. And again Saturday when they blew a 3 goal lead. Recent UCONN teams would have folded their tents and gone away, these guys fought back for the win. I'm not saying they'll win, but I do think they could.

One other thing...I still don't buy the huge differential between the east and west pods. UCONN just knocked off Mercyhusrt 2-0. Holy Cross beat Canisius, 2-1, but in the 2 games the Crusaders won, they pretty much dominated. AIC and Sacred heart both won in upsets last week and neither was that good. But I think the Final Four is pretty much indicative of the league over all. Niether UCONN nor Holy Cross are teams that anyone could say don't belong. And both have at least a punchers chance, Holy Cross more than a punchers chance in my view, of getting to the Final and beyond.

those were the two worst teams in the west pod and the two best teams in the east pod. the west pod is better, sorry.
