Oy vey. I went from chuckling at BC/HE's original post, assuming s/he is a Niagara fan, to wondering what blazer777 was trying to say with the Jeopardy thing, to wondering what lines RIT fans are supposed to be reading between and whose nerve is being hit and why. Maybe I just need another cup of coffee?

Was there more meaning to the Niagara pick? Are people angry at the Niagara pick? I haven't picked up on any of this.

I like mine and here's why:

Obviously Niagara is not playing this weekend
Obviously you were kidding around by picking them

I am a Niagara fan and more importantly a longtime Boston College fan. The post was in jest. Probably won't go to a third game but if it does just about nobody gets a point anyway. Just trying to tell RIT fans that they better not be overconfident. I remember once when BC was the number 1 seed way back in the ECAC times and they got smoked 5-0 by last team in Cornell at home in the playoffs. It was not pretty. BC teams that should have won it all in 1998 and 2007 did not. Those games haunt me to this day. Niagara had it's problems in goal this year. It is too bad since they had a team up front that could play with anyone. As far as hitting a nerve it was not directed at anyone in particular but rather just to playfully remind our RIT friends. I think there will be quite a rivalry between NU and RIT especially if AHA can get to the point of getting an at large bid someday. Just hope it does not get to be like BC/BU where despise is putting it mildly.

We already have Canisius to fill that hated position. Niagara will fit somewhere between the respect we give Air Force and the hate we have for Canisius, I predict.

Tied 2-2 in storrs... traditional UConn fashion... give them an opportunity to extend the lead and they'll find a way to lose it... a short handed goal in the last two minutes of the period will do just that

Goal #3 for UConn was on an open net scramble... #5 was by way of the empty net... on to Game 2.

You just may get to experience that hatred next week. Canisius looks like a team of destiny. 4 seconds away from going home for the summer and its on to game 3 at Holy Cross. So it is either Canisius or UConn in the early game against RIT next weekend. AFA takes on Holy Cross or UConn in the late game.

Obviously, we're Canisius fans tomorrow. I think RIT will advance to the championship either way, but Canisius might actually make them work.

Good effort by Air Force tonight. That was Torf's first shutout of the season. Nice rebound after getting chased last night. Still needs to string together two good games in a row.

Hmmm. Suggest you read up on your history. UConn almost beat RIT last year in the playoffs and this year they are a whole lot better.

A whole lot better? Sure their record was decent after playing in the East pod..but did YOU watch the games they played at RIT? Recent history is not good looking for them.

Holy Cross just finished off Canisius, so we'll soon see just how good the dogs are.
