I never thought of Gilley,s as a hot dog joint but I guess you're right. It's a few blocks away and their dogs with chilli are really good. Sig line updated. Maybe on my next car trip west, I'll swing by Natick and give that other place a try.

And blazer nails it. Four upsets. Just goes to show anything can happen in a one game series.
Good news for RIT, Air Force, Holy Cross and UConn. Makes next week's matchups:
AIC at RIT
Sacred Heart at Air Force
Canisius at Holy Cross
Mercyhurst at UConn

All four East-West series. Should settle the "strongest pod" debate.

That's why the bye was so important. Though I do hope we get a different format next year; this format just produces too much wackiness.

Yep. That had to be pretty demoralizing for Niagara and RMU. Both were in good position for a bye all season, only to lose it late. Hard to get up for a game you don't even think you should have to play. Still, pretty surprised at the results in the west. RIT's kryptonite is gone, the AHA>the CHA, and we're still on track for an all-west tournament. Not as surprised at the results in the east. All four of those teams were pretty even, and AIC had already proved it could beat anyone once. Sacred Heart took 3/4 points from Air Force earlier in the year, so that should help the boys focus.

Though I do hope we get a different format next year; this format just produces too much wackiness.

Despite the crappy format, it's still playoff hockey, and it's turning out to be pretty interesting.
