I never said all you do is play hockey (Justin Morneau plays for the Twins). I'm saying that RELATIVE TO THE US you're top athletes concentrate on hockey more at this time.

Dubber you dissappoint me....you know more than that about us! We have people excelling in every sport there is. As for your greater population adavantage...yea the Ruskies told us 30 years ago they could produce 10 Bobby Orrs....30 years later I am waiting for the Ruskies to produce their first Bobby Orr....BTW...once again when are you guys gonna produce your first Bobby Orr ....Gretzky....Lemeuix?

Hockey Canada is on the decline. The sooner you come to grips with that, the softer the fall will be.

Sorry to tell you but the combined Quebec James Bay project is probably 50x's the size of the Robert Moses plant at Massena. The power from James Bay lights Boston. That dosen't include projects in Manicouagan that are just as large. Vermont has a deal with Quebec to supply 50% of there electrical power.

Then remember the Ruskies told us that by virtue of having 10x's the population they would have 10 Gretzky's, Orr's and Lemieux's.

Valery Kharlamov, Anatoly Firsov, Alexander Maltsev, Boris Mikhailov. All great players.

I would worry less about that and more about your declining youth hockey numbers :)

Who asked for your 2 cents then? Thank you very much for the pat on the back in Afghanistan. Its not like we had any interest being there. Don't need mideast oil...we had no dog in that hunt. But we showed up and were the 3rd largest contributors in manpower and casualties. While other nations showed up in non combat roles our soldiers patrolled the most dangerous province... Khandahar. The 157 Canadians who died in your Afghan war I am sure appreciate your sentiments.

At least we know how to properly honour our soldiers. No hidden body bags and coffins here:

The British Strategic Command has estimated any army invading Canada due to its land mass and remoteness would require land, sea, marine and air force of thousands of ships, landing craft, aircraft etc.. and 1,000,000 personel. No nation including the Soviet Union at its peak could muster such a force. The only nation capable of invading Canada is........the USA! Now since we have no foriegn agenda or enemies why do we need a huge peacetime army?

No we're not not even close. I know 100x's more about NCAA and Minnesota than Dubber knows about the CHL and Canada. BTW watched UM Duluth and Western Michigan on the tube tonight along with an OHL game. The Duluth game sucked. None of those guys have any skill. Seem like great athletes would can skate but none of them have any puck sense. Power plays were brutal. The players all stood still, nobody looking for open ice, nobody trying to stretch the box. That is the biggest thing NCAA lacks over CHL. NCAA players are older but the CHL players actually have more experience, better coaching and more natural talent and hockey sense. What kind of coaching does a kid get in high school?

Yea I know them all well. Problems is all were amateurs in name only and never played professionals in international competitions. Put them in a 70 plus NHL schedule and see how hey would do. No Bobby Orr among them.

I suppose the mounties would hold out at Toronto in mid-winter just like Stalingrad and then the ice road truckers would storm down from Hudson Bay to break the siege?

Please. One tank column could level the country. Maybe you would need a mil to hold every square mile of the place, but why would you want to?
