At Least We Have the World Jrs. During Break

Re: At Least We Have the World Jrs. During Break

Wow, don't give up on the USA yet.

They will perform better in the next two games

Trouba was the player of the game.

Take it the lines have been changed up since I left. And what happened to Gibson?

He tripped a Finn during a USA powerplay resulting in a 4 on 4 and Finn goal. Let in a softie right after that.

His defense didn't do him any favors. #4 name is slipping my mind..is that Forbort? got turned around and was stuck in cement at the blueline to help create the 2 on 1 opportunity. His man is the one that went into the zone and tapped home the pass on the 2 on 1.

Darn. If the Canucks spanked the Finns and we spanked the Danes, I can't even imagine the spanking Canada is going to give to Denmark.

I'm lobbying for the Czechs under the "anyone but Canada" platform.

What the hell was Gibson doing in net for that one?

The only reason I can come up with is Dean wanted to give Campbell a rest somewhere in the middle 2 games and maybe felt Finland was the lesser of 2 evils/dangers. Sure, it could be argued why not play Gibson against Denmark, in a much easier game than the other 3, but then Campbell plays 3 in 5 days, not exactly ideal either.

Who knows, hopefully the US digs themselves out of this hole, but it won't be easy by any means.

Nothing I've seen from the US gives me any hope that they can stay close to either the Czechs or Canada, much less beat them.

I'm generally pretty positive, but I have to agree with you here. Canada dominated the Czech game, but there were times that the Czech's looked incredibly skilled. These are going to be a couple of very difficult games.
