we have some good place names in Maine that come from Abenaki or Micmac language. Like the Passagassawakeag River
Tatitlek. Pronounced tah (word that is like teat) lick. People from Tatitlek are called Tatitlekers.

Also there's Barrow's name change: Utqiagvik.

Buffalo, MN. 5 people injured.

A person was taken into custody Tuesday following a shooting at a Minnesota health clinic in which multiple people were shot, according to police and state officials. The shooting happened Tuesday at the Allina clinic in Buffalo, a city of about 15,000 people roughly 40 miles northwest of Minneapolis.

Buffalo Police Chief Pat Budke told TV station KSTP that the shooting happened inside the Allina Clinic Crossroads campus. A 911 caller told dispatchers around 10:55 a.m. that someone was shooting inside the clinic, reports CBS Minneapolis station WCCO-TV. The station reports at least five people were injured in the shooting.

Helicopter footage shows shattered windows on the front of the building.

"Right to Lifer"?

Sounds like their work.

While it's possible, the Allina clinics are all basic family practice, with a few specialist focusing on allergies, nutritionists, and things like that. Handy's idea seems more plausible.

I was at Allina clinic last week. No abortion stuff there, just good old fashioned primary care and internal med specialists along with a few other specialties sprinkled in.

so someone just shot up their local primary care clinic

This one hits close to home as I work for dozens of these clinics and, in non-Pandemic times, spend a lot of time in them.

Les or our other clinical folks would have better examples, but I've definitely dealt with angry people who argue everything- the care, the bill, the schedule, the time... you name it. Even if insurance covers something they call and contest. "$25 for a depression screen? They asked if I was sad, I'm not paying that!"

People are disgusting.

The guy in Minnesota was a drug addict.

He's got a pretty extensive history of marijuana and alcohol related offenses. The news stories suggest that he had moved on to prescription painkillers and the doctors had shut him down.
