Re: All Things Denver XXXIII

I got an early birthday present from my roommates today (birthday is not really even terribly soon): Saturday night power pack! So I guess my four or five games estimate just went out the window! :D So I'll see some of you other locals tomorrow night!

Re: All Things Denver XXXIII

off to a great start by taking down the river hawks. Sounds like the pio's played an all round good game. Look foward to tonight and seeing how the new looking team discovers how to win two in a row. go DU

Re: All Things Denver XXXIII

Sam gets the number one star and was seeing the puck like the old days throughout. It will be interesting to see how Adam looks tonight. I expect the Falcons will come in hungry after getting beat up in the third period last night at home.

Re: All Things Denver XXXIII

A few thoughts from last night....Always more fun the day after a win.

I liked the way the team came out in the first period. They were ready to play.

David Makowski, so glad you're back on the ice.

Dan Doremus! Dan Doremus!
Chemistry--Doremus-Ostrow-Larraza line had 2 goals and 3 assists.

Grant Arnold will be a fan favorite if the big hits keep coming. Better start working on a nickname.
(Step it up Josiah Didier, I picked you to replace Ryder as the hitting machine.)
.
Did you notice--Nolan Zajac did post game interrview ala Paul Stastny, one tooth out.

Can't afford 5 minute major and game misconduct with short line up. UML didn't score, but the team seemed to be confused when they had to change the program in midstream. The all freshman line got a lot of playing time and didn't give up a goal.

UML's freshman goalie may have had a crisis of confidence after the 2 quick goals(1:20) in the 2nd period and definitely had one after the 2 quick power play goals (1:17) in the 3rd. Up until then he had played well. UML fans wondered why Carr didn't start last night or come in earlier.

Is it too early to say...The Great Brittain is back!

What was that lurking over Danny's shoulder? When, Lord, oh when are we going to be rid of that G.D. fowl?

I know I saw it too. Maybe the Riverhawks could take it home with them.

With all the new signs put up for the Presidential Debate they could have made one more to hide that,,,that thing!

That's great. I know it will be a tremendous improvement. But it wouldn't take "rennovation" to get rid of that particular duck. Just some paint and rollers. And it just burns me up that we see interview after interview with that pos logo on screen. It's like someone is reminding these stupid camerapersons "be sure to get the duck in the shot." Arrrrghhh.

In the meantime, we could get one of Viz' Target throw rugs, or wall hangings of dogs playing poker or little kids with gigantic eyes to cover it up.
