Re: All Things Denver XXXII

Unofficial results have DU women 8th and 12th in the cross country. The men finishing 8th, 12th, and 16th. They did have a video review on the women's race; the top three were in a matter of inches.

Re: All Things Denver XXXII

Yeah, looking like top 5 would be a good result this year. I think they lost one of their superstar downhillers at the start of the year or something. We'll have to rebuild, shoot for next year. I'm not worried.

Re: All Things Denver XXXII

That describes it pretty well, time for the high to nite!

Given the way this season has gone, we probably will win tonight. Once again, I have to wonder what if? Can we say Bennett, Makowski??? Last night was certainly not Jussi's fault, he has got to be considered for the MVP award. What a find!!!!

Re: All Things Denver XXXII

Congrats to Lysdahl. Don't know if these results are official or anything, but here's what I found. Whoa, UAA finishes over DU in skiing??? That has got to be a first!

Line charts up. Same lines as last night for DU. Man! The Badgers have owned us in the WCHA playoffs 10-1.

Fun game tonight. What about the disallowed goal? What do people think? I was in the 22nd row at the opposite end of the ice, so there is no way I could know.

I was at center ice so I have no idea. The review was quick which makes me think they saw contact. Anybody got video? Tech sweeps the ***** cats. 57 RIDES AGAIN! :D

Re: All Things Denver XXXII

Question for Pio fans.

I had connecting flights in Denver yesterday and was looking forward to picking up the Post to find out what happened Friday night, not only in the WCHA but across the country. Practically nothing at all. I realize Denver has a lot of other sports interests, and most people are getting their news online, but I was surprised. I see from the post below that the Sat game was covered. Was the Friday game covered in the paper edition? Does college hockey get much coverage in the Post?

Friday's game was covered on line--can't say about the paper itself.

Watched the game replay on PioVision and the UW player, Woods, definitely had 2 feet in the crease and was standing directly in front of Sam.

Yeah I just went back and watched it online. It was a pretty obvious crease violation. No physical contact, but the rule includes a player visually preventing the goalie from making the save, and the Wisconsin player was, as vizoroo said, standing directly between Brittain and the guy who shot the puck.

Re: All Things Denver XXXII

Thinking a lot about what the finale of this wonderful series will look like tonight. Will the tight pattern hold? I have been so impressed with how this young badger team has played the Pios. It's the best playoff series I've seen in the six years, I've followed DU. Can't wait!
