I don't have the patience to go back and look, but did someone say something about having tickets to all three games? Is it possible to get tickets to game three already? There doesn't seem to be a link for them on the ticket website.

Your third seeded Denver men’s hockey team (21-11-4, 16-8-4 WCHA) is set to host tenth seeded Wisconsin in the first round of the WCHA Playoffs. The best two-of-three series is set for March 9-11 at Magness Arena. The complete first round schedule is listed below:

Friday, March 9 7:37 p.m. MT Magness Arena
Saturday, March 10 7:07 p.m. MT Magness Arena
Sunday, March 11 (if necessary) 7:07 p.m. MT Magness Arena

Tickets for the first round of the 2012 WCHA Playoffs are currently on sale and can be purchase online here, by calling 303-871-2336, or in person at the Ritchie Center Box Office.
The Pioneers, No. 9 in the latest polls, will have hosted the first round of the WCHA playoffs for the ninth consecutive season and are one of only two teams to have won 20 or more games for 11 consecutive seasons.

I have game 3 tickets but I'm also a season ticket holder. So, I'm guessing they only sell game 3 tickets to the general public if neccessary which kind of makes sense...... Here is to hoping we sweep!

That reminds me; if I remember correctly from when I was looking into getting half-season tickets, half-season ticket holders are guaranteed all three first round games, just like full season ticket holders are. So that is one more reason why it makes sense that tickets might not go on sale to the general public until after Saturday night's game. (Obviously, if two people have half-season tickets in the same seat, they can't both have that seat for the playoff games.)

I think what they told me is that if I get the half-season, I would be guaranteed tickets, but would not be guaranteed "my" seats. So I guess people shouldn't be under the assumption that they would get their usual seats.

Very very doubtful. Root sports or FCS Wisconsin would have to step up.

Two of the three nationally broadcast FCS channels are scheduled to televise "a WCHA playoff game" on Fri and Sat. Given the size of the Denver and WI markets, and the relative obscurity of some of lower division teams in the other matchups, it's hard to believe the DU/UW pairing won't be selected. If they wimp out and show the Sue and the Rodent games I'll throw a brick through the TV. I think FCS Wisconsin will step up to the plate.

Well, the Sioux-Bemidji Series is on FCS, so that likely is one of the two. I would imagine that the Gopher-Anchorage series is the other, as that is on Fox Sports North already. Does Wisconsin ever cover road series?

Amen to that!!! I upgraded my Direct TV back in October just so I could get the DU games. Over the past 3 weeks, there has been every college hockey game but DU. I've had better luck on Saturday nights, but Fridays have been really frustrating. It's easier to get a HS girls BBall game than a DU game.

Amen to that!!! I upgraded my Direct TV back in October just so I could get the DU games. Over the past 3 weeks, there has been every college hockey game but DU. I've had better luck on Saturday nights, but Fridays have been really frustrating. It's easier to get a HS girls BBall game than a DU game.

On two of the last three Friday nights DU hockey has been televised on the NBC Sports Network [DirecTV Channel #603].

According to College Hockey News the Gopher & Sioux playoff games will be televised.

Too late now but you can call DirecTV next year and ask them to give you the full sports package and then cancel it after the season ends.

Skiing - Men's 10k is over, but still can't find a results page. Pending.
Alpine tomorrow, classical nordic Friday.

Think we may have gotten a Top 10 finish or pretty close in each race. Saw part of the live broadcast and let's be honest Nordic skiing with a staggered start and only a couple of camera angles is not the most exciting thing to watch.

It is going to be very tough for DU to win this year as they only qualified 10 skiers out of a possible 12. No team has ever won with only 10 skiers.
