Top 100 NHL prospects have some very familiar names.
Three of whom will be lighting up Magness this year.

22. Joe Colborne, Center, Toronto Maple Leafs
59. Scott Mayfield, Defense, New York Islanders
80. Drew Shore, Center, Florida Panthers
89. Matt Donovan, Defense, New York Islanders
90. Patrick Wiercioch, Defense, Ottawa Senators
93. Jason Zucker, Right Wing, Minnesota Wild

OMG, just realized that without early departures, they could all be playing in Denver this year.

ADD: Chevy at the Coyotes training camp, but with about 6 other goalies. Portland and Gwinnett are the Coyotes' AHL and ECHL affiliates.

Okay, I admit it.
>I'm ready to see more than 3 freshmen listed on the DU roster.
Further I'm ready to see new player pictures, rather it be frosh or Seniors, who are still using first year pictures.
>I'm ready to hear about the current Pioneers scrimmaging against the pros at the hockey.
camp.
>I'm ready for captains' practices to begin.
>I'm ready to hear Quentin Shore has committed to DU. (And that Drew, Nick and Quentin will all be playing for the Pioneers in 2012-13.)!!!

>I'm ready to hear the frosh exceed expectations!
>I'm ready to hear Sam Brittain's rehab is way ahead of schedule.
>I'm ready to see the WCHA Pre-Season poll.
>I'm ready for Puck Swami to start posting again.

With Freshmen pictures posted today, my list is 50% complete.
(except for Drew, Nick and Quentin playing at DU next year--probably wishful thinking on my part.)

I think Wade Bennett looks more like John Elway than brother Beau.:D

Re: All Things Denver XXXI

Toronto's first preseason game--Bozak #1 star with 2 goals and an assist. Colborne played well too. It appeared he outplayed Frattin and maybe Kadri, too. He even got into a little scuffle.:p

Evening Edition: Flyers 4 Leafs 0
Matt Carle with two assists. Little Mikey Testwuide and Bemidji's Matt Read each had a goal.
None of the Leafs columnists/bloggers/brass were impressed with Colborne last nite.Yesterday played wing today played centre. Think he got the word Kadri outplayed him last nite. Bozak didn't play tonight.

Heads up People! CC and AF single game seats went on sale last week and the New Year's Eve game at Cadet Arena is selling fast. Get on it. Cadet Arena is a super fun place to watch a game.

Re: All Things Denver XXXI

Joe Colborne with game winner tonight in Leafs 4-2 game against Flyers. Bozak with an assist in the game also. Ex-Sioux Matt Frattin (Lawnmower Man) with 2 goals for Leafs including an empty netter. Matt Carle didn't play for Flyers.

Box Score

Re: All Things Denver XXXI

Leafs blogger, Matt Iaboni, Tuesday's choice for Player of the Game
Flyers defenceman Matt Carle is one of the more underrated players in the NHL. He has become a key member of the Flyers blueline and Tuesday he was the best player on either team. He finished the game with two assists and was a plus two in 20:56 of ice-time.

Re: All Things Denver XXXI

Rock back on ice for Isles.

From Arthur Staples of Newsday on Twitter
F Brian Rolston (groin) not skating, but Fs Rhett Rakhshani (concussion) and Mitchell Theoret (concussion) out there for 1st time.

Donovan listed for traveling roster for Isles for tomorrow nights game against Boston. Rock will not be on the trip.

Add: Patrick Mullen had an assist in one of the two LA-Phoenix games. Chevy didn't play in either.
