Re: All Things Denver XXXI

Matt Donovan and Rhett Rakshani playing in Islanders' prospects game tonight against the Boston Bruins. Game will be streamed live at 7PM EDT on newyorkislanders.com and on MSG.com.

Re: All Things Denver XXXI

I'm pretty excited for the season to start. I'm thinking about springing for tickets to opening weekend.

Re: All Things Denver XXXI

So how about this Will Butcher they speak of? Did I miss the scoop on him?, he seems coveted by the Badger faithful!!

And the Madison crowd is crying in their beer.

News from the Islanders Rookie game:
Rakhshani with a concussion, to be evaluated tomorrow. He had one last year when playing for the Isles.

Donovan is looking bigger. Had a couple of miscues(turnover and late penalty), but was looking pretty good, according to live blog. Paired with Aaron Ness, former Gopher.

I think Rakhshani received another concussion while at DU, in the exhibition game against either Alberta or Calgary, at the beginning of his sophomore season. He got steamrolled on a clean, open ice hit. I think he missed the first 4 games of the regular season.

Re: All Things Denver XXXI

Hello again all! Glad to see most are still here. Been a bit of a long...long summer with crappy baseball, no hockey and nothing but crap politicians all arguing over how to make our lives more miserable. In the thick of wedding planning but, hoping to attend as many game as possible and being on here a bit more. Got my own office now, so it might be a bit easier to shoot the S*** with you guys.

Anyways, Looking forward to the new season!

Re: All Things Denver XXXI

From this morning's Newsday recap of Isles Rookies 7-2 win over Bruins last night. Looks like Rock is going to be ok.

Rhett Rakhshani (concussion) and Mark Katic (dislocated shoulder) were both on hand at the end of last night's game, looking not too much worse for wear.

Re: All Things Denver XXXI

From DU on Twitter

Good news. DU hockey games at Wisconsin on Feb. 17-18 will be televised live on FSN Wisconsin. 6:07pm MT puck drops both nights.

Re: All Things Denver XXXI

Been eavesdropping on Twitter again:o
Patrick Mullen keeps promoting Nick Shore and Beau Bennett for DU's top line over Drew Shore and the Goal Czar. (@PMullen14)
Personally I'd be happy for 1 and 1A, as long as they both score a lot!

Re: All Things Denver XXXI

I booked my ticket & hotel to Boston last weekend. If the Red Sox make the AL Championship series I will have the rarest of commodities...A hotel room. Lets just say hotel rates in Boston are three times the going rate of any other US city.

Airfares between Denver & Boston are still reasonable.

Highly doubtful the Red Sox will be in the AL Championship :D Go Yanks!!! :)
