Elliot Friedman on HNIC just mentioned in the 2nd intermission hot stove that Jim Montgomery is a leading candidate for the Vegas Golden Knights head coaching position.

Congratulations Denver. DU was the best team all season, and are VERY deserving champions. One of the best teams i have seen since the 2008-2009 BU squad. Tonight goes to show that sometimes the best team does win it all. Again, congrats and enjoy the feeling of hoisting #8. :)

Congrats to DU on their 8th championship... Hell of a hockey team this year. Now NoDak has to go win another so we can be on top of you guys again lol.

Congrats DU fans from this Sun Devil. I earned a great appreciation for your program when I made the trip up when ASU was in town. You have a heck of a team and program!

Congrats to Denver! Sure, your program is a rival but that's only because your team(s) through the years play great hockey. Which is why I enjoy UND/DU games so much because they are always so dang competitive. Coach Monty cheered UND on last year and I had no problem reciprocating this year.

As Willy said though, UND now needs to win #9 and #10 soon. None of this tied business. :mad::D

And, of course, Terry will soon face questions about his future, and tempations to leave for greener — as in, more lucrative — pastures in the NHL. Terry isn't really ready to face those kinds of questions now, but in the passion of the moment, he seemed ready to return.

"That was the most incredible experience of my life, and I want to come back and do it again."

If he does, Denver just might do so.
