gearing up for the frozen 4. We begin by coming after ND. I noticed on a frozen 4 post that Park Tavern maybe the home bar for DU fans; anyone have a confirmation. Also, for later Sat. night if all goes well does anyone know where the team is staying. Go DU!

I have read Park Tavern confirmed for Thursday, I don't remember the hotel, but DG's (Damien Goddard) facebook page may have that.

Pre-game reception starts at 6:30 p.m. and venue will remain open for the DU watch party throughout the game.

In 2006 Matt Carle was the only member of the Hobey Hat Trick whose team did not make the tourney.

In 2017 Will Butcher is the only Hobey Hat Trick member whose team is in the Frozen Four.

Southern Cal is sunny and warm, but wish I was in rainy, windy Chicago.

Did you know Valor Christian went to USAH High School National Championships? Unfortunately they didn't get out of pool play. Two years ago they finished 3-15. Coach Gwozdecky brought an amazing turnaround to the program.
Rumor is Gwoz is a finalist for the Michigan State job.

Domers downed.
Pioneers vs Bulldogs will be a battle. Excluding ENG both games this year were 1 goal difference. Miska stood on his head the second game.

Re: ALL THINGS DENVER--XL--This one's for Old Pio

Can you say All American...

1st team
Will Butcher
Henrik Borgstrom

2nd team
Tanner Jaillet
on the eastern side St Lawrence's Kyle Hayton who just happens to be from Denver

Re: ALL THINGS DENVER--XL--This one's for Old Pio

Mike Chambers calls it the Triple Crown:
Penrose--Monty
Hobey--Will Butcher
Richter--Tanner Jaillet--(he wasn't a finalist, but I call Evan Cowley for 1st runner up)

Re: ALL THINGS DENVER--XL--This one's for Old Pio

You know, while I still hold a bit of a grudge for DU being at the forefront of the creation of the NCHC, I'm really sick and tired of UMD fans acting like they're some really special when in reality they are extremely lucky to be where they are with the timing of their rink and first title, so go DU, put those bulldogs in their place (not to mention it feels a little better knowing we lost to the eventual champs).
