Even if Monty were to go to Florida, there is no way it would be announced before the celebration Tuesday. Not sure I find this, credible

Florida, Vegas and now Dallas added to the Monty rumor mix. If he sticks to the "Proscess", team comes first and Tuesday is about the team.

Re: ALL THINGS DENVER--XL--This one's for Old Pio

It's a little hard for Sioux/Hawks fans to see another school get #8, but this was a good result. DU has a first class coach and program, and they were clearly the best of the pack this year. The most deserving team often does not always (or even often) win this one-and-done tournament, and it's nice to see it happen when it does.

Unless it's the gophers, of course.

And maybe Old Pio just became a little less crotchety with this win, wherever he is. And I won't speculate where that might be.

Heard a number of comments regarding UMD's size advantage.
Current Pios--Sean Mostrom, 6'3"-200, and Erich Fear, 6'5"-217, could see more ice time next year. And the incoming recruiting class has more poundage.

In the house where his favorite redhead, Keith Magnuson, jersey is hanging, first dominating the domers, and then winning the Natty, Old Pio's degree of crochetiness must have taken a substantial dip.

Re: ALL THINGS DENVER--XL--This one's for Old Pio

Congratulations to the team and fans alike!!!! Well deserved!!!

Well that didn't happen......

Hoping Monty stays, wouldn't be surprised to see him go. Will DU make it three great coaches in a row?

Re: ALL THINGS DENVER--XL--This one's for Old Pio

ECHL--
The Colorado Eagles--Luke Salazar leads the Allen Americans--David Makowski 2 games to 0. Next game is Wednesday in Loveland - that little town between Drake and Kelim (just north of Denver(the little town between Glendale, Sheridan, and Federal Heights)).

Loveland where you send Valentine cards for a special LOVE postmark

Speaking of the the Goal Czar, 30-47-77, not bad for his 1st ECHL season. He's 1-2-3 in playoffs. Makowski spent some time in Europe and was 16-34-50 for Allen. Playoffs 1-4-5.
Nolan Zajac, Toledo, made the All Rookie team with 11-43=54. Playoffs 0-7-7

Manchester Monarchs have a Pioneer Trifecta:
Daniel Doremus 11-38-49 3rd on team scoring 1-2-3 Playoffs
Quentin Shore 18-25-43 4th on team 3-6-9 Playoffs
Sam "The Great" Brittain 20 wins 5-2 in Playoffs 2.25 GAA .923 Sv%
