All Things Denver-The Real XXXIV

Re: All Things Denver-The Real XXXIV

Also, the last two DU national championships have been born of a two goalie rotation. Gwoz won't pick a "guy" until the NCAA playoffs, or even the Frozen Four if we are so fortunate.
Gwozdecky loves rotations that's for sure.

But in 2003-04 Fish on Friday only got a five starts [plus four relief appearances] as Berkie started almost 90% of the time.

Re: All Things Denver-The Real XXXIV

Apparently co14ers either doesn't know or doesn't care that the dumphuck named cctig caused multiple conflicts at the arena Saturday. He had multiple security people basically monitoring his every move from the 1st intermission on. Practically every DU fan in the north end and northeast corner were commenting on his, uh, embarrassing antics. He's a disgrace and should probably be leashed and muzzled, with a handler, in order to be allowed in public.

A moment that, for me, was as great as anything that happened on the ice:
A little girl, probably 5 or 6, on tig, "Mommy, what is wrong with that man?"
Mommy, "Don't worry about him, he is an ignorant little man..."
Mommy nailed it...

So, I have to respectfully disagree with 14ers about the obtuse one known as tig

Re: All Things Denver-The Real XXXIV

One other observation from the weekend. The CC fans have not polluted this thread (at least not yet again.) Of course, JS and 'tig get a pass, but ronmexico is even worse in person than he is on here. Words cannot describe how quickly my "respectometer" plummeted last evening after meeting him at the game. I always reserve judgement for such cases where I see what people post on a chat board and then meet the person live. Oh my God!

So, it makes sense to me now with what he posts. It's not from the educated passion that he feels for his team. It's because he's a jaded moron. Told me to FU after I jokingly said that DU gave them a gift on CC's first goal. I looked at 'tig to say what's up with this dude and ronmexico called 'tig retarded. And then just walked away from 'tig when 'tig stayed around to talk to DG, myself, kscant and others.

I will say he didn't smell like he lives in a dumpster, but what I perceived from his intelligence certainly says it's a possibility. Have a good life Abe you Fing arsehole!

Every time that idiot posts drivel to an All Things DU thread that isn't hockey related, I'm reporting it. I hope everyone else does as well. It's about time for the nescient nitwit to achieve something like more suspensions on the board than me! :D  :D :p

But, I shall not end this post with negativity.

How about them Denver Broncos and Peyton Frickin' Manning? I also have it on good authority that our friend Paul Colborne, father of Jumbo Joe, attended that game. I'm sure he is having a good time tonight!

It's over a day later and you are still thinking about me and posting in the middle of the night? We talked for maybe 2 minutes, you've spent far more time than that bashing me with your "reserved judgement."

Anyway, go ahead and report my response. I'm sure the moderators will agree with your conclusion that homeless people lack intelligence. If they weren't so stupid they would figure out how to live like the rest of us right? That seems like a totally relevant and appropriate statement to make here. Thanks for the insight, bro. :p

Re: All Things Denver-The Real XXXIV

Rankings are out, DU is still #2 but with two first place votes this time. DU is on top of the Pairwise. BC remains on top of the USCHO poll. CC remains unchanged. Other than name-recognition bias, no idea why Michigan is ranked #19. Big game against UNH on Saturday. Can't make it to Friday's game but Saturday should be awesome.

Re: All Things Denver-The Real XXXIV

Back home after a great weekend of DU hockey. What a sweep of the pussycats by the Pios. The whole team really impressed me. The players are playing for each other and the fans, especially the students. A great gesture by the team after the center ice stick salute to skate over to the student section and give props to them. The atmosphere on Saturday night was electric. We had a great time Friday in the Springs in a very hostile building. The LetsGoDU headquarters in the Broadmoor was epic. Props to the DU fans who came down and post-gamed at the headquarters including Dubbie, etc. It was great meeting a lot of the DU USCHO posters at the game Saturday; 14ers, Kscant, Cross-Czech, MagnessMan among others as well as hanging with DG, Swami and Bagman. Sorry I missed Duper and Chris. Ran into some old friends as well Like Jim Wiste and Don Cameron and met Dale Zeman for the first time. Those were the first two DU games I saw in person since the the 1978/79 season and what a pleasure to see them sweep CC. This unheralded freshmen class has some great talent on it. The 7-man D corps is as good as I have ever seen. The frosh d are playing like veterans out there. Young Gabe Levin has forced his way onto the top line with Nick Shore and Knowlton. Q Shore had a great game on Saturday. DU's Colorado Springs' boys domnated this weekend. All in all a great time was had by all!

It was great meeting you. It was a fantastic weekend of hockey and I couldn't be happier with the results.

Re: All Things Denver-The Real XXXIV

Who are the 48 bozos who voted against us? :-)

PWR is what really matters. Besides, it's November, not too concerned with rankings right now.

You can't win the title in November, but you can lose it.

Re: All Things Denver-The Real XXXIV

Hey folks - congrats on the sweep.

Coming out for the weekend, catching the Saturday game. Would like to be behind the UNH bench... is that Section 2 or 20?

Thanks in advance!

Viz, this is awesome!!! What strikes me is how many guys (2012) got into the action!! Any parallel to 2005 is OK by me!!!

Re: All Things Denver-The Real XXXIV

I honestly think this is the best Denver team in the last decade. They're better than the 2004-05 team.

Slow down Dr. Evil.

The 04-05 Team had Gauthier, Carle & Statsny.

The Senior class scored 72 goals in 2004-05.

The 04-05 was loaded with players who had four NCAA Tourney game victories under their belt.

The 04-05 Freshmen were DU's best recruiting class in history [Stastny, Mannino, Dingle, May, Paukovich & Andy Thomas]. Four Freshmen started in the NC game.
