Adrian Hockey: Season 9

Re: Adrian Hockey: Season 9

Listening to the announcers talking about Brothers being down in point production this year and so checked. He's basically 1 point for every 2 shots taken: 29 pts, 58 shots on goal this year. His linemate stats: 36 pts for 88 SOG and 26 pts for 75 SOG. The three are close in points.

Re: Adrian Hockey: Season 9

Teams have keyed more on Brothers this season, knowing what he did to them last year as a freshman. The problem for other teams is, any two of Olinyk, Thompson & McCloy are playing along side of him, and sometimes Connor Armour as well.

Adrian took care of CSS 4-2 last night. But a 54 minute effort is not acceptable today. Same thing that happened last Friday night, where we were ahead 5-1 and had to scramble to hang on to a 5-4 win. Today is going to be a different matter. Nowakowski and Bruggerman are playing for their collegiate hockey careers this afternoon. You're going to see everything they've got. Gotta give a full 60 today.

Saw an Adrian Bulldogs team bus in Orlando today.
Lost or looking for a game? 🤔

Not being from Adrian I cannot say for sure, but if I had to guess I would say baseball team in Florida for early season games.

Re: Adrian Hockey: Season 9

The Oswego bus was in Florida a few years back at this time. Outdoor swimming in Tampa FL.

I started reading this and for sure I thought I was about to read a typical Remy jab with something along the lines of "The Oswego bus is in Florida for some golf since their hockey season is over..."

Nah lol I'm trying to be somewhat nice lol

Re: Adrian Hockey: Season 9

Probably baseball but their site is not updated. Oz and Freddy are due in Auburndale for a tourney in mid March which has been typical the last couple years. Could be the Adrian Bass Fishing team on the bus. Yes, you read that right, look it up! They have a crap load of sports at Adrian........

Not sure about other Redbird fans....but this one is hoping you beat WSP by a bunch...show the NCAA they made a mistake !

By a bunch? I think Geneseo confirmed last weekend that they made the right choice by that 6-goal margin...or a 'bunch' ;)

Every team has a bad night....Plattsburgh is better than that...four losses all season.

Re: Adrian Hockey: Season 9

But if the Pointers get waxed next Saturday, the conclusion would be that the NCAA made a mistake and not that the Pointers just had a bad night!?!?

That is also possible....just the numbers don't always say it all..It was very close between WPS and Platty and I really am just having sour grapes. But I am sure you would feel the same if it was Oswego that lost out by having a good season, being third in the last east region rankings, and getting bounced because of one loss.

I was rooting for 2 SUNYAC teams....the Birds deserve to be in, but the F$&@#% formula we all "love" didn't make it possible...12 teams next year doesn't fix this year.

I wouldn't say they are out because of one loss.

Change any one of their 4 losses to a win and their WIN goes up to 0.833.

Change one of their losses to Genny or Williams to a win and their RNK goes to 3-2-1.

Change the ties to Brockport to wins and their WIN goes up to 0.833 also.

While the SUNYAC Championship was bad, not a game does a season make.

It wasn't the Win% that hurt them, it was their SOS thanks to Oswego and Norwich for stinking it up lol jk

Oswego and Norwich certainly didn't help in that department, but a WIN of 0.833 may have been enough to overtake the SOS difference, especially if the RNK goes to 3-2-1.

I actually don't put it on Oswego and Norwich as much as I do the SUNYAC making us all schedule Canton. Replacing them with Castleton and or Skidmore would have probably jumped them up as well. #72 KRACH SOS Fitchburg State in the Classic surely didn't help either.
