Re: Adrian Hockey 2012-2013 - Unfinished business

First visit to Arrington, finally got there, great place.
Like the addition of the bar upstairs.

They played great hockey and deserved it. Quality wins and on to the NCAA's.

Oswego at Adrian.

Saturday night quarterfinal.

Oh boy...

Re: Adrian Hockey 2012-2013 - Unfinished business

I think that Adrian has arrived. Getting a home game is HUGE and shows that they are no longer a redhaired step child in Div III hockey.

Re: Adrian Hockey 2012-2013 - Unfinished business

It's our 2nd NCAA home game. We got Elmira at home a couple years ago.

But thank you for the kind words all the same here.

I think Adrian arrived when they beat Oswego in the semi's before a narrow loss to St. Norbert in the title game in 2011.

Or even one step before when they hosted and beat Elmira.

Adrian arrived in 2007. They just weren't allowed in.

Oh please, let's not dig up that horse :D.

There is no question that now Adrian is one of the respected national powers in the same conversation as Norwich, SNC, Oswego, and Plattsburgh - teams that are always in mix. Adding St. Norbert and St. Scholastica to your league is going to remove the last vestiges of the "weak conference schedule" complaint.

Re: Adrian Hockey 2012-2013 - Unfinished business

True, that loss to Potsdam did them in ;) And how dare they beat the USA Under-18 Team out of the gate.

+1 Larry :D .....and you didn't even mention the 10-1 whipping we gave the eventual National Champions in 2008.;)

Looking for a little help and knowledge about the layout of Arrington and potential space for tv coverage...the WTOP crew is putting together a minimalist production plan to broadcast the game saturday on the web and TWCable back in NY. The "suits" at Oz are talking to the "suits" at Adrian - general concerns about space have come up...I would love to hear from some fans who have spent quality time in the rink and their opinions about where one might put a couple of cameras...I hear the press-box is tight too...any help much appreciated - for all the success the kids at WTOP have had over the years, this would be the first live sports broadcast off-campus...489 miles off campus. Bonus points for a floor plan and the rink manager's cellphone number...:D

another problem is that the NCAA has the broadcast rights

another problem is that the NCAA has the broadcast rights
No problem - we have received rights to every NCAA game the Lakers have played in the Campus Center since the building opened - paperwork is done - its just logistics...the space requirements need to be worked out...
