Adrian Hockey 2012-2013 - Unfinished business

You don't go up a man early and then two late, especially both being D, and not capitalize no matter the school's classification. That was a terrible performance, but at least I didn't see any joking around in the hallway later. Sad.

You shouldn't be embarrassed for your team. The fact of the matter is that there are about 10 D3 programs that are on par or better than the bottom quarter or third of D1 teams.

I know your schedule was patched together at the last minute, but playing teams like Alabama and Vanderbilt is no way to prepare to play Adrian, let alone Boston College.

I think UAH hockey is a pretty cool thing, and I really hope you guys find a conference home soon...

we played down there in 85 or 86? when I was at oswego, they had a nice rink and a good following...they should do well if they join a league

I'm going to try and catch one of the Adrian v. Lawrence games this weekend with my friends. This match up has the best goaltending duo in the MCHA from Adrian, and the new LU goalie that transferred in from Bemidji. These two teams are also the top two scoring squads in the MCHA. Checking the MCHA stats page shows that the top 9 scorers in the league will be in this game (Based on the 8 games played in conference only).
#1-Merasty, Adrian (9-6-15) #2-Lemirande, LU (3-12-15) #3 Bushbacher, LU (7-6-13) #4T-Scurfield, LU (8-4-12) #4T-Ranalli, Adrian (4-8-12) #5T Graham, Adrian (6-5-11) #5T Boelter, LU (4-7-11) #5T Pino, LU (3-8-11) and #5T Cousineau, Adrian (2-9-11) .

Adrian will most likely win both games, but LU could be trouble.

5-5 and 4-4 ties this weekend. The way we played, we're lucky to get that.

We've got a lot of work to do.

Lots of penalties at the end of the game... Anything interesting happen or just a normal shoving type match?

Not sure calling it a brawl is correct. Each team had two players get 5 minute face mask and 10 minute game misconduct penalties. No fighting, just lots of grabbing and pushing and jaw flapping by both teams. Kinda what you might expect after playing back to back ties with each other. Not really how you like a game to end but not a brawl.

there were punches flying and a ref got knocked to the ground, took em a while to separate everyone

That was not a brawl. A heated scrum? Sure. But I've seen a whole lot worse than that. When I was at Ferris we'd have 2-3 of those a game on some nights.

Each team got two 5-facemasking penalties out of that. No fighting majors. I don't know how in the world you can have a "brawl" without a single fighting major.

Listen, I was at that game and overheard the whole thing. It went down like this:;)

Adrian player: "Nice series fellas, now next weekend do this to ^*#@% MSOE."
LU player: " OK, But only if you guys give it to &%^$# Marian."
Ref : " C'mon boys, no fraternizing on my watch. I'm late for that steak dinner and its going to cost you if you don't leave now.
Both players: "Sorry Sir" we apologize for being inconsiderate about your time. Have a safe trip home Addie. You to Larry.

Nothing more, nothing less. :p
