Adrian Hockey 2012-2013 - Unfinished business

This link should give you what you are looking for.

Thanks - we had that...and a rough floor plan now - but there are no dimensions to understand how much room there really is for a couple of camera positions and the mobile cart setup... This may turn out to be 10 lbs of potatoes in a 5 lbs sack, but they are still trying...

Re: Adrian Hockey 2012-2013 - Unfinished business

Looking for a little help and knowledge about the layout of Arrington and potential space for tv coverage...the WTOP crew is putting together a minimalist production plan to broadcast the game saturday on the web and TWCable back in NY. The "suits" at Oz are talking to the "suits" at Adrian - general concerns about space have come up...I would love to hear from some fans who have spent quality time in the rink and their opinions about where one might put a couple of cameras...I hear the press-box is tight too...any help much appreciated - for all the success the kids at WTOP have had over the years, this would be the first live sports broadcast off-campus...489 miles off campus. Bonus points for a floor plan and the rink manager's cellphone number...:D

Didn't WTOP do a game at Geneseo around the time I was there, I want to say 2005, 06, or 07? or was that not an actual live broadcast?

The Events tab in the link I sent had contact information that would be able to answer your questions.

I don't think so Double-D - no one around Oz thinks WTOP has done live sports except from Laker, Romney or the CCIA.... If the kids get shut out of Adrian, I can ask them if they want to drive to VT - sounds like you need some help...;)

I'd worry about bandwidth. If you're on a wireless connection, you'd be hard pressed to get 1/2 the quality you get from Oz.

would be GREAT to watch the game on WTOP,would take the edge off for sure, along with a few drinks.....Good Luck Lou see what you can do:D..

The kids are doing the legwork, as usual...from out here 30 miles off the coast, I can see a solution or two...but everyone would have to be on board to want a solution...to be fare, its a small venue and the Adrian SID office has more than a full agenda hosting this game....and they have been accommodating - its still early in the discussions.... I hear you on bandwidth, Joe - don't know what the connectivity options are yet...and given the limited facilities, it will not look like the production you all enjoyed Saturday night...but it will still be better than most...

Is this Jeremy Symington the same one that played goalie for St. Lawrence around 2000 or so?

Re: Adrian Hockey 2012-2013 - Unfinished business

ADRIAN, Mich. - The NCAA Division III Men's Hockey quarterfinal between Adrian College and Oswego State has seen Arrington Ice Arena's allotment of reserved seats SOLD OUT for the 7 p.m. faceoff on Saturday, Mar. 9.

Fans can still be part of the action by purchasing standing-room tickets for $7 (seniors and students $5) beginning one hour before faceoff (6 p.m.) on Saturday. The tickets are first-come, first-serve until they run out. Adrian College and the NCAA thank you for your support and understanding.
