Re: 2nd Term Part VIII - The Thin Red Line

There still won't be a chance. These people are acting exactly like they have since they were running for election. The problem isn't the politicians, it's the electorate.

Interesting though... if that's the case, we're all doomed. :( Well it was fun while it lasted.

Re: 2nd Term Part VIII - The Thin Red Line

Uh, huh. Same thing, right?

That's why the Dems made deals with W all the time and didn't investigate the **** out of everything he and his administration did. Right? Same, same. And the **** his administration did is light years ahead of anything Obama has done.

You're right. Dems are saints and W was the devil. My bad for even implying the door swings both ways. *sigh*

I'm not saying that. However, nothing compares to the Clinton and Obama Republican **** shows for investigation overreach and ridiculous shenanigans. For the party of fiscal responsibility they waste more money than I can even imagine.

No, not saints. But not guilty of wasting more tax payer money on fruitless/pointless investigations the past 20 years than the rest of our time as a country combined.

Take out the word investigations and leave it as a fill in the blank and that would be right on.
"Guilty of wasting more tax payer money on fruitless/pointless __________."
Yup, that works.

If that's true, why has the deficit only exploded now. You can't tell me all that money isn't being wasted.

Is it being wasted on fake outrage BS? No? Then what is your point?

The GOP, the party that shut down the government because it apparently overspends, is spending money we dont have on investigations into allegations that have already been proven false or have no reason to be investigated by Congress. They are literally burning money...

But sure we can change the discourse and talk about the deficit since that has zero to do with Scooby's point if ya like.

Re: 2nd Term Part VIII - The Thin Red Line

Scooby has a point? who knew :)

Nope, sure don't. I want Obama impeached over Benghazi. If not that IRS. If not that Fast and Furious. If not that Birth Certificate. If not that Obamacare. Let's get er done.

Re: 2nd Term Part VIII - The Thin Red Line

So, they purposely covered up that it was a terrorist attack despite Obama saying it was in the Rose Garden on Friday before Rice even appeared on the talk shows?

This country is a joke when it comes to politics. It's getting more than ridiculous.

If Neville was unequivocal (which he most certainly was not) in his Rose Garden appearance, where did the uncertainty he displayed on "The View" and in front of the UN come from? The phrase "no act of terrorism" was boilerplate rhetoric and not directly tied to the events in Benghazi. The coverup is always worse than the crime. Neville and the rest of his administration, lied repeatedly about a video they knew had nothing to do with the raid in Benghazi. To continue denying that obvious fact this late in the game conjurs up images of Monty Python's black knight. They lied. And you d*mn well know it.

The microscopic amount of money involved in congressional investigations is in no way responsible for our fiscal problems. Much better to cut back on office supplies in the Pentagon or paper cups at HHS or lavish congressional car leasing benefits.

Yeah, it's almost as miniscule as food stamps.

Re: 2nd Term Part VIII - The Thin Red Line

They ginned up the IRS deal again this week as well. What the hell is wrong with these people? The IRS law that applies to the "controversy" is so ****ing ambiguous it's beyond ridiculous.

Yet, despite that ambiguity, only one kind of group was singled out for "special attention." Go figure.

His point was about wasting money. Big deficit = lots of wasted money. Thought the connection there was pretty obvious.

****... why do I get involved in these? :o

Re: 2nd Term Part VIII - The Thin Red Line

And that's not true.

Which liberal groups got "special handling?" It's been very important to the left to suggest that both liberal and conservative groups were singled out by Lois Lerner and the rest of her crowd. Again, you d*mn well know that's not true.

Emerge America

Game. Set. Match.

One liberal group? One? One. Even assuming your analysis is correct (which I don't) that hardly balances a clear Obama administration effort to chill and harass Tea Party groups. Like the man said: "One loaf of bread doesn't make a bakery."

The deficit at least stems in part due to policy instead of childish vendettas and butthurt over losing an election. A policy debate is fair game, this is Ken Starr all over again.

Deficits? Apparently they are a problem.

Oh, and the Federal sequestration removed 1 job from the federal payroll.
