2024 Elections: One Last Chance for Democracy

71% of Americans do not believe trump will concede….

mookie has always wondered why that is even necessary? If the votes say you lose, who cares what you do…

Even you're not that dumb. What they mean is we'll have Jan 6 Part 2: Electric Boogaloo.

Now with even more treason and bloodshed.

Great...still isn't happening so change your shorts and get ready for a battle.

Joe is in the cult, breathlessly awaiting another Dump admin. His morality is completely twisted around by birth fetishism and sedevacantism (amazed we haven't seen a Church Militant link in months), and his distaste for both the modern RCC and modern America blinds him. He is far from being in the majority, and he and his ilk are to be laughed at and mocked, not taken seriously. Anyone who would force a woman to have their rapist's baby is an intellectual and moral fraud.

How has the current administration done compared to the previous one? I'd rather have a diminished Biden surrounded by good people than Trump surrounded by Project 2025 acolytes by a factor of 1000. Grow up.

Yeah, I was clearly, well I thought clearly, being sarcastic.
Trump wants to end democracy. Biden doesn’t. There shouldn’t be any other story in the media.

He’s religious so getting spanked by his authoritarian daddy while screaming for others to be hurt and persecuted is how he gets his jollies

just like Jesus

Elissa Slotkin just walked by my house in our town's annual parade. I'm not saying my donation had anything to do with it, but I'll pretend I matter. :p

Today, on THE FOURTH OF JULY, the New York Times published an opinion piece telling people to not vote.

The dude is white, male, and an abortion extremist.

if you still have a NYT subscription, I BEG you to cancel immediately. Your money is going to a terrorist organization bent on electing Donald trump because AG Sulzberger is pissed at Biden.

If this is true then a lot of the bloodshed will be from the MAGAts who will hopefully be mowed down on the steps of the Capitol building like what should have happened on January 6, 2021. Ashli Babbitt X a few thousand other MAGAts seems like a good start.

I'm ok with that. In fact, I'd really like to see it. If that happens, maybe some of these traitorous "patriot" cosplayers might start to have second thoughts about plotting to end democracy.

But I fear it's going to be a lot worse than just that.

While we would all prefer a DEAD Biden than trump the truth is this country cannot afford to have a diminished commander in chief. If age has slowed Biden's movement or speech, but has not touched his mental acuity then he should not drop out of the race, because the resulting chaos might be enough to hand an election to trump. Not that people will suddenly say "I can't vote for an old senile guy so I'll vote for a slightly younger, slightly less senile guy." It will be the thousands upon thousands of voters who stay home in Michigan or Pennsylvania or North Carolina who MAY have secured a Biden win that hands the election to trump.

But I really fear too many people are whistling past the graveyard. From the looks of it I may be in the extreme minority around here but I think his age has caught up to him an awful lot in 2024. Probably caught up to him too much. That's the thing about being 81. Aging has no actual timetable and isn't a predictable path where you slow down at the same rate year to year or month to month. My dad was still sharp as a tack in 2017 and 2018. By the time I moved to Wisconsin in 2019 he was obviously in great decline.

The next few weeks might be the most pivotal in any of our lifetimes. I pray people in power do the right things.

I think if that were the case the Governors would have made mention of it and asked him to step down. And the truth is, a month before the debate he was fine even travelling to Europe like twice in a week. His speeches post debate have been quite good. Hell right after the debate he stopped off at Waffle House and he seemed fine just hoarse. If he was sundowning he would not be able to function correctly let alone talk to voters and take selfies with them. I think a narrative has been pushed and we are being tricked into buying it. Quotes are being twisted and facts are being stretched. His staff saying his "best hours are 10-4" somehow means he doesn't function after 4 and is old and senile. My SO is best 10-4 as well then usually naps...she is half his age.

I am not saying he isn't old he obviously is. I am not saying he might not be a bit slower either. But nothing I see says he doesn't have the brain for the job anymore.

You are right though, the next few weeks might be the most political important and interesting weeks in American History. FWIW the average poster now on social media when I read is all in on Biden. The only ones questioning seem to be the media.

It's SO adorable how so many of you still think President Magoo has even the slightest foothold in reality ...

White House Installs Touch And Learn Activity Desk In Oval Office So Biden Can Feel Like He's Working While Jill Is Running The Country | Babylon Bee

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In order to let President Biden feel like he is still working, the White House has installed a "Touch-And-Learn" activity desk for Biden to play at while First Lady Jill Biden runs the country.

"He just loves feeling like he's still a part of things," said Chief of Staff Ron Klain, watching the President spin a wheel. "Ope! Ring-ring, Mr. President! I think someone's calling on your little yellow phone!"

According to sources, Biden had become progressively more agitated as family members took over more of his previous roles. "Old people want to know they still have something to give, something to contribute," said aide Reyna Hensley. "Aw, look at the big boy doing his letters over there. Way to go, Mr. President! You're such a big help!"

White House aides report Biden has been much happier since the installation of the "Touch-And-Learn," with fewer temper tantrums. "He's screaming a lot less these days. It's really helped to keep his mind occupied, punching numbers on the little calculator," said Ms. Biden. "We were still letting him play with the actual Oval Office phones, but he started chewing on the cords. Plus, he called President Xi one day and asked if he would bring him a Lunchable. It was time."

At publishing time, the White House had bought a red and yellow "Cozy Coupe" so Biden could pretend he was still able to get around the White House by himself.

I did my best to keep my subs to WaPo and The Times...but dropped them both last month and will never go back.

This. All of it.

Check post #522 ;)
Calling out the Heritage Foundation as the treacherous basta rds that they are, and their proud support of Project 2025 to end the USA as a viable nation for those yearning to live free lives, bears repeating many times over. Again and again. And again.

This is what I said last night to my SO. The story is not going to die, and they won't let it. NBC has been caught lying about it twice and yet the only people who seem to be fighting to save Biden outside of leadership is the people on social media. The media is 100% in the tank and I think we are too far gone. Polling by CBS (all caveats put here) says the majority of Americans think he is too old. (they also think Trump is too old and his crimes disqualify him) The narrative is working and his debate performance backed it up. If the Stephanopoulos interview isn't a home run he will step aside within a week. It has to be done before the Zoom Nomination on the 21st and Harris has to be the nominee. Phuck James Carville and his calling for an open convention...geezer needs to go the phuck away.

Hate me all you want, but if Harris is the nominee, Trump wins hands down.

Hate me all you want, but if Harris is the nominee, Trump wins hands down.

And if Biden remains in the race and has one more public performance like the debate, he hands the election to trump. If Biden does not have the "stamina" to withstand jetlag and colds, we're in trouble. And I'm telling all of you this, 99.9% of this debate is going to be shaped by an incessant media drumbeat of Biden's age-related frailty. It's not going away.

Just like the media has convinced the majority of Americans the economy is in the toilet, that same media has convinced Americans that Biden's brains are just aging mush. It no longer matters if it is true or not.

When the deck was cleared for Biden in the early days of Covid in 2020, it would have been nice if the party would have wrestled a public proclamation from him vowing to be a one term president. Perhaps delivered sometime after the first 100 days of his term. The media has two things to keep this a horse race, lies about the economy, and a narrative that Biden is too old. How much better off would we be if one of those was not available?

And since I agree with RJ about Harris, we could be one fuc ked country in a few months.

What makes you say that? She is polling similar to Biden at this point in the bs hypotheticals. I think the youth like her better than Biden and right now so do a lot of the minorities.

I am not saying you are wrong mind you, I just don't see it personally.

I wouldn't pi55 on Kevin Roberts if he was on fire. So I guess that makes me a member of the violent left.

On the contrary, I would p!$$ on him. But I do appreciate his honesty. And I must admit it's a relief to know my death would be relatively quick and painless, rather than taking place years from now after unimaginable horrors in a Gitmo-style torture chamber.

As for replacing Biden, one thing that is being missed by many pundits is that he's already on the ballot. Seems backwards since he hasn't even accepted the nomination yet, but in several important states he is already the nominee. While in a state like Michigan the legislature would be willing and able to fix the issue, that's not so true in Pennsylvania. There, as well as Arizona and Nevada, it would likely end up in court and we all know the outcome of anything involving the six traitors in black robes.

So, unless Biden dies, he is going to be on the ballot. And in some places, even if he's a corpse! Gotta love this country.

Amazing that the Turtle powers down like a robot whose battery just died and the media doesn't flinch. The former Traitor-in-chief is convicted of 34 felonies and the media doesn't flinch. Biden has a brutal debate performance and everyone loses their mind. It isn't like Sniffles was the sharpest tool in the shed either, and he spewed enough bull$#!t to fertilize Mars.

If you're looking for some good electoral news, we should start receiving results from across the pond shortly. It could be an historic landslide for Labour and the worst defeat the Tories have ever suffered. It could be the worst election for a major party in Britain since 1832. There's even a chance the Lib Dems could win enough seats to surpass the Conservatives to become the main opposition party... Sadly, I don't think Count Binface will win though he could improve on his eighth place finish in 2023.
