There's a guy running for the Democratic nomination named President R Boddie: https://voterguide.sos.ca.gov/candidates/president/president-dem-cand-statements.htm#boddie

Greetings, my beloved Californian voters! I'm President R. Boddie, the conservative Democrat shining in the 2024 race. In 2020, I lit up the Republican primaries, securing a robust 18th position out of 38 candidates in the 2020 general elections as a write-in contender. Now, I bring my unique spirit, known as Dawson, a son of David, into the Democratic Party. Picture this: Uniting America and Israel under a new covenant, establishing Salem-peaceful coexistence for Israelis and Palestinians. No more orchestrated wars by the Antichrist; instead, let's echo Psalms 82:8, "Arise, 0 God, inherit all nations. But wait, there's more! The United States Praise Force is our secret weapon against mass shootings, a beacon of hope. And let's talk oil-drilling in the Dakotas. Citizens- that's you, get dividends. Motivate our students with "earn while you learn, get paid for your grades," and let's become number one in education. And for my Californian voters, envision "In God We Trust"—a trust account granting access to your treasury account, allowing you to discharge debt, like H.J .R. 192. Americans, real freedom awaits with less debt, more money in your pocket, all through the treasury. Psst, don"t forget to ask God, should you vote for me? It's crucial! Inherit blessings, peace, and prosperity. Join the movement, and let's make California and America winners under President R. Boddie. Peace, love, and power to all!

The narratives I heard this morning on the Supreme Court case being heard today about Trump being on the ballot in Colorado are both interesting and sad.

1. The case for taking him off the ballot appears to be rock solid. All the arguments for keeping him on are ridiculous.
2. But, the thought is if he is kept off the ballot it will make him stronger in the general election.

Be very interesting to see if The Constitution matters to the Supreme Court this time. It really hasn't for a very long time now. What is most certain is an ORIGINALIST view of The Constitution keeps him off the ballot.

This is one hell of a country.

Scoobie is a murderer, plain and simple. All the evidence points to this, the MSM tells us that they is a murderer AND I see it all the time online, in certain places. I know you have never even been charged with murder, just simple assault with a shod foot, nor were you even convicted of even that charge. But we ALL know the truth. Just wait until the evidence comes out from the impartial panel meeting in secret that is made up of your ex-wife's family who were living rent free in your beachfront home before the divorce. They will get to the bottom of the TRUTH!

Until then, you are not allowed to work or participate in civil society. AND, we also took you off the ballot in Colorado.

This is one hell of a country.

Maybe we should just get rid of it.

Maybe we should. Most countries do not bury their living citizens in the graves of the dead.

Jefferson and Madison would be shocked by how we turned the Constitution into a totem protecting privilege and denying sovereignty to the people. It was the very thing they rebelled against. The Constitution has become the Crown.

I think Liberals are making way too much out of this case as is the media. It does not "keep him off the ballot" it it keeps him out of the Primary in a single state. He doesn't need Colorado to take the nomination this is a 100% nothingburger because there are no states of value that are willing to make the same choice.

Nevada proved this whole thing is a joke. He has no competition, there is no threat. If the SC holds this up it will make zero difference whatsoever unless the Republican Parties in other states are willing to do the same as Colorado did. They won't, not when the second place candidate is hated by 2/3 of the voting block.

That is why the SC is hearing it, because it honestly doesn't matter. It is performative theater...a way to make it look like people who do bad things are held to account but no matter what they decide nothing really changes. They will likely say "the state has a right to make the choice but that is only binding to that state" that way Colorado gets their "win" but Trump will still be the nominee.

Well, out of the primary AND off the ballot entirely in Colorado. I think my interest is more on how this affects Originalism as a philosophy. I think it turns it on its head.

Donald Trump wins the case in a landslide. Every Supreme Court Judge was on his side today. The 14th Amendment Section 3 is meaningless today. It probably meant something when it was passed, but it means nothing now.

Scoob, I know you are a constitutional legal scholar all of a sudden, but when did this clause came into play? After the Civil War. Like right after a TRUE insurrection if you will, you know, one that involved guns, cannons, warships, hundred's of thousands of dead people, vast property destruction. Put in to keep Confederate leaders from getting back into power. Dont remember a big majority of the dead being killed by flag poles and crowd control barriers.

Now who is meaningless today?

I wouldn't use Nevada as showing us anything. No one knew what to do because they ran two separate votes: a primary and a caucus. Trump was listed on one and not the other. Who knows what the rules even were when you do something stupid like that?
