2023 D3 Bracketology

The airports I had in mind were Syracuse, Albany and Burlington. The 2 you listed, Burlington is almost no interstate, and Albany leaves about 40 min off interstate, but even the interstate portion is through the eastern edge of the Adirondacks and high peaks region, and can get dicey in bad weather.

Syracuse probably gives you the most options the further away you have to fly from.

Burlington is I89 to exit 17, about 15 miles on US2 to the ferry Road VT314, ferry ride then 3 miles to I87 to exit 34 then about a half hour on NYS 9N to NYS 86. Some of the roads are in deed 2 lane highways but by the end of March snowy/icy conditions on any of them is rare. All I am saying they are not back country roads. I travel them all winter for my Granddaughter's basketball games From Chazy to Keene, Elizabethtown, Long Lake, North Creek, Bolton, Willsboro, Tupper Lake and Lake Placid (all small class D schools) Out of all the trips only one took longer than usual because of road conditions. Lake Placid is very easy to get to from Albany. I87 to the Rt 73 exit then about 25 miles to Lake Placid. Syracuse would probably be the longest trip but not sure why one would fly into Syracuse over Burlington or Albany.

Doesn't matter, since Placid is apparently out of the mix this year...

BUT, LP is out of the way for everyone.

Even if you make all your connections smoothly into Albany, you still have to rent a car and make the drive up and around to get there. 2.5 hours, easy, unless it snows, in which case the drive could well be a lot longer.

Having said that, Placid is an actual destination (as opposed to a grimy post-industrial site such as Green Bay), and the attendance there would certainly continue to equal or exceed the rural Midwest armpits.

Sad news.

That guy was awesome.

Looking at his stats from last year to this year, almost identical GAA (2.35 last year, 2.37 this year) and SV% (.912 this year, .918 last year), but had a 21-4-1 record last season, and is only 14-6-2 this season

I'd have to guess the offense in front of him isn't as potent as it was last year

Obviously you've never been to Green Bay, Steve. And don't lie and say you have because your social media says otherwise. Like it or not Green Bay is a major league city with a franchise in the most popular sport in the country, which is something Utica could never achieve in a million years. Not the least of which is because Utica is a declining rusted-out dump.

I’ve been to a game in the CCC, and visited the Resch Center. IMO, that would actually be a good neutral site to host semis and final. Having Titletown so close is a bonus. (My son is a cheesehead). I didn’t realize the Oneida nation was near there as well.

The fact that you found his real name and went to his social media is really weird, not gonna lie

What are you, 12?

Green Bay is a great city and I respect the heck out of their sports passion whether for hockey or football. I went to Green Bay for a playoff game the Giants won in OT and quietly walked out so as not to disturb the Packers faithful......... I like Utica's hockey venue and I hope my Statesmen get to play in a FF there, but I really love Central and Western NY , so please refrain from referencing
the Utica dump where evidence often disappears for the local Mafia.

Utica is relatively easy to get to from anywhere in the East. So, yeah, there were many of us who expected a better crowd from both the eastern teams involved and the casual fan (I would have still gone even if I wasn't covering it). In that sense, it was a disappointment.

That FF was all about the utter lack of local interest.

And, understandably, there was none.

She doesn't know my actual name, nor does she have access to my social media BS, because I'm not out there like a middle-school child.

It's just more BS from that little child.
