Maybe there is a nugget of truth here or there but he lost me very early on in the piece with this:

He presents this issue as if there is an equivalency between these two threats. Which is utter and complete bull5h!t and Drew, you either know that or you are as dense as people here (me included) sometimes accuse you of being.

Our country is being dismantled and destroyed by the right. It is not being dismantled and destroyed by the left. At all. Sure, you can point to a lefty lunatic here or there (I'll probably be one one day) who uses violence in a completely wrong or criminal way. We all know the extreme right-wing baseball playing member of congress Steve Scalise was shot by someone who held left views but his act of violence has been overwhelmed in number by acts of violence by those on the right. For every act or threat of violence from the left there are 99 or more threats from the right. Also true, the "angry" left will not bulldoze their way past the "exhausted" middle to enact whatever the right fears the left is plotting to do. If that was true, we'd have been a completely socialist nation a time or two already. Yet we see every day the "angry" right trying to bulldoze past everyone to get their way. Do you need a more stark example of this than January 6th? Or from a poltical sense, the examples we've seen a dozen or so times from this Supreme Court?

French's piece is hack-work and his political bias shines through. By the time he revealed which wing he used to spend time on (I was unfamiliar with him before reading the posted piece), it was already apparent to me he was on the right wing side of the equation.

I will say this, if he is correct about some "exhuasted middle" being the key, they better get their fucking as ses in gear and rise up. The sand in the hour-glass has just about reached the bottom.
 
Don't you realize that treating women, black, Hispanic, or LBGTQ people as equal to a white man, with all the white man's rights and privileges, is destroying our country?

White men and the white women that support them are systematically dismantling the Constitution of the United States. Once that is accomplished we will no longer exist.

All kidding aside, I am sure this has at least something to do with the Hershel Walker we see and hear today. His era seems to be about as bad as it could get, players were already getting so much bigger and faster, but we were still in the "rub some dirt on it and walk it off" times where concussions were never a reason to take a play off, let alone come out for the rest of a game.

He's still a horrible candidate though.
