Right.. and even that would be a major stretch goal. More realistically it will end up something like 51/49, 50/50, or 49/51.... and not totally unimaginable (but pretty unlikely) that Dems lose all of those including AL.
So I keep coming back to basic math. About the most optimistic forecast for Dems in the Senate would be maybe 53 votes, and that's if they take ME, CO, AZ, IA, NC, some other upset (GA?) and then also retain AL. Whoever the Dems have as Prez will have to deal with that reality when trying to pass legislation.
