The Angels clobbered the Red Sox 21-2 today... that must be fun if you're an Angels fan.

Ever since the Cards swept the Cubs it's been downhill for the Cubbies. I'll go with the old cliche. It's a marathon not a sprint. ;)

They're in the midst of 24 straight games without a day off, most on the road, and are getting beat up in the outfield.

They'll be fine once they get to the break. They've got a stretch after the break where they play something like 15 of 20 at home, and the 5 road games are at Miller Park and UD Cellular Field.

But man have they been awful lately. Can't pitch, hit, or field. Mets sweep the 4 games and it's their first 4 game sweep of the Cubs since 85'. Lester gives up 8 earned runs in 1.1 innings today. He gave up a total of 7 in the entire month of June when he was named NL pitcher of the month. All Star break can't get here soon enough.

Giants also hit a snag in the last week or so, so it seems to be a thing going around.

Eight in a row for the Mets versus the Cubs, going back to the Mets sweep of them in the 2015 NLDS. Which offsets the seven in a row loss to the Cubs for the whole 2015 regular season.

Which means that two last place teams -- the Angels and the Twins -- combined for 38 runs yesterday.

Congrats to Anthony Rizzo (first base), Ben Zobrist (second base), Kris Bryant (third base), Addison Russell (shortstop), and Dexter Fowler (outfielder), on all being voted to start for the 2016 National League All-Star team!

0x4 last night, and on his lead off strike out he looked horrible. Standing O for his introduction, a few boos on the fourth out. This could get out of control fast. :(
