I saw the replay - BRUTAL! In college it would clearly have been a major and game DQ - hit to the head. Moses' helmet came off and his head hit the boards, hard. But an injured leg may be what keeps him out of the next game, and possibly beyond. If the ruling on the ice (no penalty) stands then clearly the rules for this tournament going forward need to be revised. I would think the NHL would have an interest in seeing their players and draft choices being better protected - there's a lot of money at stake.
Moses has already signed with Nashville. He played for Jokerit, the Finnish team that just joined the KHL.Agreed, Moses has definite breakaway speed and he led the KHL in goals last season (36), which is huge in that Russian league. He had a nice breakaway in the 1st period against Norway. Edmonton and Columbus are believed to be interested. Surprised by the lack of call on that hit, usually the refs call international games pretty tight.
