2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

BU defeats Northeastern. Gives the Terriers a chance to claim second in the Hockey East tournament if they can win tomorrow.

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

Ohio State upsets North Dakota, so the top four are set. Duluth beats St. Cloud 6-4, so those two are tied for fifth and play each other tomorrow. Quinnipiac crushes Union to claim the ECAC, Clarkson crushes Brown, Princeton ties Rensselaer, St. Lawrence ties Yale, Harvard beats Colgate. The Crimson will probably end up hosting Colgate at home next week, unless they lose to Cornell tomorrow.

I can't explain what that Duluth 6-4 score was or where it came from. But it popped up as a final about the time that game was starting. It is not what happened tonight.

St Cloud is up 3-2 late in the third period.

And as I hit ENTER, it went final. St Cloud wins 3-2 over UMD. (Per St Cloud W Hockey twitter feed).

Quinnipiac 9, Union 0.

The win gave Quinnipiac its first ECAC Hockey regular season title.

The loss extended Union's winless streak to 50 games.

That's weird. Well, congrats to the Huskies on claiming fifth and a chance to travel to Grand Forks next weekend. North Dakota is definitely vulnerable.

I did see a 6-4 score though when I clicked GameTracker

Amanda Kessel is such a bad-***! Two goals against the top goalie in the country in only her fifth game back.

That could definitely plant some seeds in Wisconsin's heads.

That loss could also possibly grant BC the top seed even if the Eagles lose one game in the Hockey East tournament.

Only if it's to NU, and even that's not a sure thing since NU lost today. BC really needs one more UW loss to have BC effectively clinch the top overall seed (barring an extra loss to Maine/Providence).

I wasn't feeling confident after last weekend that Harvard would be able to host next weekend. I'm feeling better about our chances despite the fact that we're down a couple of forwards (Mullins and Parker).

True, and as things stand now, Northeastern has no room for error. Harvard wins the ECAC, or North Dakota wins WCHA, or BU wins Hockey East, and the Huskies are out.

I went back into my browser history and looked closer. It was the full box score from the St Cloud-Merrimack game from back in October, which St Cloud won 6-4. But in the details of the box score, they have St Cloud players scoring the six goals, and Merrimack players scoring the four. Yet at the top of the page, it says UMD (playing the role of St Cloud) with six, and St Cloud (playing the role of Merrimack) with four.

Truly weird.

There were about three games where that happened today. It's not uncommon for collegehockeystats.net, which is where I think everyone pulls their scores from, to have a game from months ago, or that night's men's game, or something else listed as a score for a women's game. Not sure what the glitch is, but it ought to be a known issue by now.

It tends to be correct by the end of the game, but it's often wrong before the game starts.

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

Another great start for Minnesota...Up 2-0 in the first 5 minutes for the 1st period.

Re: 2015-2016 Division I Women's Hockey Scores & Results

I'm ok with that Badger goal. I think the 3rd goal for Minny was questionable, and honestly, I'd be ok if the score was 2-2 right now. But I'm not going to ***** that its 3-2.

Yes, interesting period for the refs. I'd probably have waved off both goals, so either refs were 0-for-2 that period, or I was.
