What can you say blew a HUGE chance to turn the season around vs Platty.Team looked pretty good but took some dumb penalties for sure,gotta play smart hockey vs the #3 team in the land .We had a few pretty goals. Our dzone faceoffs are bad, to be nice,cost us on the tieing goal,as did our coverage on that play.As for the winning goal,you have to know where all the other players on the ice are,was there any communication between zman and hulshof?? bad mistake ,couldhave used a big save as well,didnt happen....Did not see the Pots game, could only expect that outcome after fridays game,and the way the season has gone....Yes Neil plays well night after night...Is there any chance we do not make the Yac playoffs?? Not sure after this weekend if this ship can be righted??

No Barton in either game?? No news on Davies ?? No secondary scoring again besides waterst goal..2 games 4 goals not gonna cut it,unless netminder stands on head,and we have not had that happen...59 goals in 21 games:eek: if not for Moville we would be dead last:,numbers just dont add up.4 games left against teams that would love to beat a dog that is down.Finishing .500 this yr may be optimistic.DIII Fan what say you??

Was not at the Platty game but I thought either team could have won Saturdays contest. From what I saw Hulshof was a man possessed last night. Neil played a nice game and Adrian played a nice game. Can't fault the 2 goals on him. I can not ever remember this team having so many game misconducts. What are we up to 10-12?? That fat ref last night wanted to be the star of the game and the linesmen we terrible in the 3rd. I wonder if there is some cahoots with the refs. The whole year we have been getting terrible calls, that is above the usual. That does not take away from the many stupid penalties that we take. Herliey gamer was nothing. He was already gone for the game. Must have said that chicken wings are sold out in Potsdam. The first one I thought it was a double minor not a 5 & gamer. I think the men's team is getting called like it is being judged by the women's rules. I said in the beginning of the year that 15 wins would be a good season and it will not be a good season. I can not see us winning the last 2 SUNYAC games. Ed must be going nuts with this team. No one can figure them out unless you are the opponent for that night. Enjoy next weekends last home game for it will be the last one period, for this year. I will not be there for I will be partaking in the pleasures of moving.

We have not missed a game this year at home or on the road. The Plattsburgh game Friday had all the ingredients of a great college Hockey game. Big crowd and two pumped up teams. Good coaches and being Oswego and Plattsburgh all the atmosphere of a playoff game. Let me say that the ref's in D3 are getting worse every year. Their level of incompetence is mind boggling . Let me say that they are not the reason Oswego lost that game or the Pittsdam game. Critical mistakes contributed to both losses. In many years of watching Oswego they are too well coached to commit those kind of mistakes. Their 3rd period play was not good. In spite of the mistakes , the poor play, they could have won both games. Hopefully better times are coming.

Not to start a war, but what exactly is the issue with the reffs Friday night?

Your not starting a war. The ref's did not cause Oswego the loss Friday night. I was ****ed that when Zawadski got knocked down in the cage and his helmet knocked off I was looking for an interference penalty. What I'm talking about is a compilation of horrible calls for several years. On all teams

Losing Fedorow will not make a better team. Scott was already out, short on Defense

If we're thinking of the same play, some on Plattsburgh were looking for atripping call on that, too. Refs missed a few clear call against Plattsburgh, but they missed a few against Oswego, too.

I remember saying - must be they are going to "let them play" and the calls and lack there of, went both ways for sure.

I'd say the reffing is questionable at best,goes both ways,yes there were some bad calls and misses friday night,but both teams took some stupid undisciplined pens.

I went to both games on the weekend.........remind never to do that again! I felt emotionally drained by the end, I can only imagine how the kid's felt. One goal loss's, blown leads, tough to swallow. The effort is there, but mistakes are still happening and confidence is quickly eroding. Neil and Hulsof are elite players in this league and Z was our best player Friday night. I thought Adrian fought the puck all night Sat., but it's not his fault we scored 1 goal.
I would like to ask one question, In the dying minutes of the Plattsburgh game, we are up by 1, 4 on 4 on the ice. Ed sends out Berry to take the faceoff with Neil on the week. I immediately thought that was a mistake. Plattsburgh wins draw cleanly to middle of ice defensemen, who walks in, no pressure, and beats Z. What happened to Neil on that play, why didn't he come out and pressure D?? Did anyone see the replay? Why send Berry out for face-off? I saw this happen in slow motion and it still haunts me.
As far as the OT goal, it is forbidden to speak about it.

Now it's about finishing strong, make the playoffs with the best possible seed and play like its a one game season...because it is. Lightning in a bottle - catch it!

Totally agree,said the same thing in my post as well,we were lax on the draw and didnt cover/pressure the dman on that play.As far as who took the draw?? I think Botten is out best faceoff man,not sure if he had just come off the ice,but its the little things that add up to big thing that kill ya.We have to take care of the little things,while we are on faceoffs,I have said in the past,I like Watersteeets game but no more faceoffs please.We seem to have problems finishing for sure wether its holding a leed or pulling the goalie late??Maybe a good weekend to get some lost confidence??

Watch Neil. That's his responsibility (usually). He looks and then follows the wing back to the crease. Botton (not Berry) took his center but when he realized Brese wasn't covered was a stride too late. It was still a great shot. I would have little to no issues with that "missed" assignment then I do the brain fart in OT.
