Just checked out the Ice hockey recruitment video for Geneseo,very nice,do we in the land of Oz have something like this?? Would be nice if we did:D

Eric Selleck signs AHL contract to play for the Tucson Roadrunners. As I now live in AZ, I may take a trip to see him this season. I'm thinking I'll bring a big sign that says "The North Remembers" and his name and maybe he'll fight a guy in front of our seats.

Just got a tweet,12 days until kids are on campus and looks like they figure 12 recruits coming in...there are 11 on the d3 website,so perhaps a surprise,and we will see who shows up as well......enjoy the rest of the summer a little more than 2 months until the exhibition game.

Via Twitter and also WNYo....12th recruit...David Jacobson,goalie Soph. 6'1' 190 lbs played last yr at ASU...60+ games in the USHL and another 16 in the BCHL,very good numbers in those leagues and played 7 games at ASU last year, but looked like he was the #2 goalie.This will make for a VERY VERY interesting goalie battle this year,2 seniors and Jacobson...side note he is now playing for team USA in the Maccabi games in Isreal along with several d1/d3 and pro players......also some youtube video

Inconsistent goaltending has been a big problem for Oswego since Hare graduated so maybe between Z, Adrian and this Jacobson they can find someone that can stay consistent.

and we know coach G will go with whichever has the hot hand,senior or soph,this will be interesting.

Hmmm 4 goalies now (People seem to forget the recruit Cedric Hansen) either Ed doesn't want to or is worried about injuries or something else is going on.

Yeah there must be something going on, there is no way Oswego would ever over recruit...:rolleyes:

They graduated 2 skaters and have 10 coming in, so it looks like there is a whole lot going on and more than just in the crease.

via twitter 2nd new goalie as expected Cedric Hansen,who " rounds out the goalie trio",trio,so we have lost either Zman or Iggy,I would say IGGY,as Zman has been there 3 yrs....as for over recruiting, I am sure we will have a few players not coming back and will end up with 29,30ish for a final count when push comes to shove.

My guess would be Iggy as well, he was hurt at the end of the year last year and I don't remember what the injury was but could be the reason. As for over recuiting I think it is a little of some not returning/transferring and the fact that Gosek doesn't want to have to recruit 13-17 players every 4 years to replace the 13-17 graduating seniors. Bringing in the extra players may help with that situation.

10-4, and we will have 13 seniors this year it looks like ,12 if no Iggy,so next yr would again be a big recruitment yr,I think the CCHL all=star exhibition game is a good way to show players the Campus Center and a crowd of 3000ish to start the season, and then this year bringem back at the end of the season for Whiteout Weekend.

As per twitter and Oswego hockey dont know who knew about this one,but Chris Macmillian 6'2 205 dman from the CCHL Smith Falls Bears,we have nabbed 2 dmen from them,62gp 9-29-38,played 4 yrs in cchl.

Looks like we now have 5 players from the CCHL coming in this yr,so that game must have meant something to somebody:eek:, and we will play them in 2 months again
