How many rebounds sitting in front of the net before we can knock one in!!

Hopefully not too many more! At least they're getting more chances than they did in the first.

Let's go Gophers! Time for a goal!

Time for some Timbits too!

No replay on the "goal"?

Beavered again!

I thought in the third period we came out with a passive game like we were playing for Bemidji to make the first mistake. Obviously, that's the BSU game and not ours!

Anyways, congrats to BSU, they are a good team.

What was the final score????

Re: 2014-2015 Minnesota Women's Hockey: The Maroon & Gold Strike Back!

I realize I am wasting my time trying to point out the flaws in Blackbird's reasoning, but losing to BSU in the playoffs this year isn't a lack of success?

So, by your simplistic one dimensional logic this means what...that Frost should be looking for another job?

And yeah...GO BEAVS!!!

Re: 2014-2015 Minnesota Women's Hockey: The Maroon & Gold Strike Back!

Holy cr-p. I'm stunned...

So, if the Gophers want to see anybody other than Bemidji or North Dakota next weekend, they root for Wisconsin to win the tournament tonight/tomorrow.

That's ironic.

It doesn't matter as much having lost the semifinal. If UM plays UND, at least the two teams hadn't played six days earlier. And if it is Bemidji, the two teams are 2-2-1 on the year, so a rubber game is appropriate.

Re: 2014-2015 Minnesota Women's Hockey: The Maroon & Gold Strike Back!

Will no one rid me of these turbulent Beavers?

The Badger radio guy (broadcast just starting) says that the goal was indeed kicked in, but because the kick wasn't intentional - it just happened as the Bemidji skater was going down - the goal was allowed.

Re: 2014-2015 Minnesota Women's Hockey: The Maroon & Gold Strike Back!

Wow. Losing to Bemidji at this time of the year does not bode well for the Gophs. What is going on? I haven't listened to them for quite some time.

We've struggled against Bemidji <strike>the whole season</strike> for as long as I can remember. To be honest, I don't think it means anything for the NCAA tournament unless the Beavers win tomorrow and we have to face them again.

Re: 2014-2015 Minnesota Women's Hockey: The Maroon & Gold Strike Back!

I think it means the Gophers don't have depth and a world class goal tender like their last championship team.
