I have no idea what game you were watching.
(edit - hilarious that someone gave me negative reputation for my post. This game was a 7-3 blowout where you might expect cheap stuff. It wasn't there (as you stated). Please tell me UM fans aren't going to be like UW's fans where they want a whistle anytime someone touches one of their players. Body contact is allowed in women's hockey, and UM can dish it out as good as they get.
Also, interesting to see Righnut's comment immediately after ne7minder's "Not having watched a lot of women's hockey I was actually surprised by the lack of physical play last night. I had expected more along the boards etc. I was amused by the fans getting a little agitated when there was some bumping. I guess that I will need to get more experience with the women's game. It seemed more akin to a roller hockey game. Lots of flow, few whistles, good skill, not much physical play." I agree. I have seen far more physical women's games.
As for SLU complaining - you barely beat arguably the worst team in D1 3-1 (weak rebound goal, deflection off D's skate and EN goal) with 5 power plays and 0 conversions (2 of which were 5 on 3's I believe). I guess you have to complain about something rather than looking in the mirror.)
