UMD rattles off 3 goals in a span of 3:40 to go ahead of Lindenwood, 3-1, in the second period. The first two Bulldog goals were 22 seconds apart, and Jenna McParland tallied her 100th career point with an assist on the first goal.

Goal scorers: Jasper (LU), Brykaliuk (UMD), Lindh (UMD), Hickel (UMD)
Hickel added two more for a hat trick, plus had an assist. FINAL: UMD 6, LU 2.

Penn State defeats Princeton 2-1 to go to 3-2-2 on the season. Amy Petersen scored both goals for Penn State.

Flint coaches 1 team with 2 different classes, KC is in 1st class & the rest not so much.

I recall it was pretty much the same thing when she played with Mission. The funny thing was, Mission was actually much harder to beat when she was away for National Team commitments. Probably because it was easier to defend against her when on the roster because you knew where the puck was always going to be sent...and everyone stepped up their own play and played better as a team when she was away.

Having said that... Kendall Coyne is a GREAT hockey player and any team would love to have her. Getting the other players to play well is the coaches job, not hers! Right?

End of period 1: Clarkson 1 SLU 0

Shannon MacAulay with the goal. Pretty even period. SLU 0-1 on the PP.

Yes she has exceptional skills.

The big problem with most (?) coaches of elite players is they overuse such players to the detriment of their linemates, and fail to enforce a whole team concept which would ultimately prove more effective. Then again, there are many elite players who are uncoachable, and prefer to remain puck hogs and do their own thing.

So I guess ultimately that's also a coaching failure for allowing it to continue.
