BU and Maine are tied 1-1 with about 16 minutes to go...

If you think Northeastern has a problem, you might has well file BU into that category as well. Maine 3 BU 1 in 3rd period!

Minnesota dominated them through 30 minutes and when the score went to 3-0, North Dakota quit. There's no polite way to put it: they just gave up and stopped playing. The score, and even the shot totals, don't really do the game justice. The Gophers found every conceivable, and a few I'd never thought of, way to avoid scoring in the second period: shots went just wide in every direction; the puck hopped over sticks with an empty net; the puck slid through the crease and just missed the stick of a player left alone on the backside; one Gopher blocked another's shot; you name it.

I don't understand the appeal of Brian Idalski as a coach. I've thought this for a while but it just overwhelming at this point. His tactical systems are often baffling but more importantly, his teams have no heart or character. There's lots of talent there but it only plays hard about one game in three that I watch. More often, as today, it surrenders. I've never seen a team for which the first two goals of the game are so important; if they fall behind 2-0, the game is over. They won't fight back. I compare what happened today to the game where they ended the 62 game winning streak last year. Back then, NoDak jumped out to a 3-0 lead and the Gophers responded by dominating the second and third period and almost tied it up with a lot of good chances towards the end. The Whioux respond by deciding to go home.

Personally, I think it's great. Why a North Dakota fan would like it, I have no idea.

LOL, trolling a team
Wisconsin at North Dakota next week, nah, that has nothing to do with the above post.

in reality it was an old fashion butt kicking, which you would think would be enough incentive for the Nameless Ones to be jacked up next week

UMD rattles off 3 goals in a span of 3:40 to go ahead of Lindenwood, 3-1, in the second period. The first two Bulldog goals were 22 seconds apart, and Jenna McParland tallied her 100th career point with an assist on the first goal.

Goal scorers: Jasper (LU), Brykaliuk (UMD), Lindh (UMD), Hickel (UMD)

I can't help but wonder now with the recent discussion regarding celebrations. The appropriateness, intensity, timing, significance of associated festive jubilance generating results thereof...should we be concerned with the possibility of a riot in downtown Duluth should the Bulldogs sweep Lindenwood?

Terrible first period for the Bulldogs. However, nice to see them bounce back and buckle down in the second and third. UMD picks up the sweep; 3-1, 6-2. Zoe Hickel with a hat trick this afternoon. Meghan Huertas with 4 goals in the last 3 games
