Re: 2013-2014 Union Dutchmen - Can U Three Peat?

That refers to the cancellation of the Annual Camp Union festival in the Spring...It was canceled my sophomore year in 1990, so I was able to enjoy it for one year...As my tenure at Union went on, more and more strict rules regarding social events were implemented...

Good try, though...

But yet the Princeton Review still thinks Union is an OMG AWESOME party school! That is truly AMAZING!!!!

Re: 2013-2014 Union Dutchmen - Can U Three Peat?

Not surprisingly, with the loss to RPI on Friday, Union moves down to #4 in the USCHO Poll. More importantly, Union remains at #4 in the PWR.

Re: 2013-2014 Union Dutchmen - Can U Three Peat?

Ad hominem Attack!!!!!! Still embarrassing yourself...

This is funny

I don't see any corrections. I see an RPI troll that wishes that they could have been out there on the ice mixing it up, but is relegated to trolling on USCHO...Furthermore, when the ECAC gives its rulings I will abide by them and not whine...Give us a chance, troll...Finally, to deny that the RPI fan base, to an extent, doesn't believe that the ECAC is out to get them through officiating and rulings is completely laughable...SA has already sat one game for personifying that attitude...Stop embarrassing yourself...

This is even funnier. I'm not the one calling anybody a troll. Next.

Specifically? Or is it lies purely because it comes from an admitted RPI fan?

he left out the part when appert gestured at the union player and saying get the F off the ice, which is in refs report. left out curadi swinging his stick at multiple players. ast rpi coach swearing at union coach and players

the fact both teams were told by refs to stay on benches, but big seth fdlt he was above others.

sounds like the russian mayor saying no gays in his village where olympjcs are being held while standing in front of the gay bar

Presumably, Hokydad left this comment, then.

you sound liks a fool. all speculation and bs towards rpi
Ghoh forgot that piece of garbage curadi hitting people with his stick and appert swearing at union player and telling him to get the f off thd ice and angry gesturing it. thats what pus### bennetts buttons
you are a homer at best.

First of all, if anyone can find video of Curadi hitting people with his stick I'll amend the narrative, I tried to be as thorough as possible looking at multiple angles. Second, I don't have any access to audio from on the ice, so reports of anything anyone said to anybody is pure hearsay unless someone can get me audio.

Everything was based off of the three videos that I linked to, and nothing more. If the officials' report is available, I'll have a look at that and add anything that doesn't contradict the video evidence.

Wow, that read like a police report, but all in all I think it was pretty objective, which compared with what's been getting thrown on this thread, is a refreshing change. One critically lacking component, and of course understandable, is no one can hear what is actually being said on the ice. I am guessing that this could be very important, especially so far as what the coaching staffs may have said. I assume that the league obtained reports from the officials in this regard. I thought the last para was particularly interesting because it confirms what I thought I saw, and that is that it looked like it was the officials who directed the Union players away from a handshake line. What is strange about this is that Rick Bennett at his press conference seemed to take responsibility for this and it was at his direction that the handshake line was abandoned. Maybe it was both, but I think in either case it was a good idea.

BTW, it looks like it took Hockeygeddon to get this thread over 1,000 posts, a number rarely if ever reached on a Union thread.

Actually, they both may be correct. There were two attempts at a handshake. The first attempt, just after the coach scrum, had the video showing Bennett beckoning his players to the locker room. I assume your captain then insisted that the team go back out to do it, and then the refs called it off.

You don't have access to the ref's reports. **** off, area clown.

Agree that the major missing component in this is what Appert says when he's talking to Curadi, and then what Appert says to Carr. I'm sure this will be left up to interpretation, and we will likely never know as I doubt the league ever releases it, but obviously something happens there to set Bennett off like that. In the nine seasons Rick has been a part of the program I have rarely seen him lose his cool in any situation. Rick is usually extremely even tempered behind the bench. Even heated confrontations with officials have been few and far between. He's not a guy like Gaudet who seems to blow up over something minor every other weekend. Not using this to justify Rick's actions, but this incident was shockingly out of character for him.
