Once you get past the equinox, it does reverse. The year I went it was at Xmas time

What is the SOS (Strength of Skiing) for the Colorado Rockies? I think the Canadian Rockies might have some serious issues with the claim that the Colorado Rockies are the best tree skiing in the West.

Speaking of SOS, Crested Butte can compete with the best. 47% Black or Double Black trails. If you really what to test yourself, that is where to go.
How about Telluride - When I was younger I was good, but there were runs there that scared the snot out of me.
I'd throw Squaw Valley (Lake Tahoe, CA) on the list for best resorts in the US. I think that hill holds it's own with any in the US...especially if the criteria includes challenging terrain. Biggest knock on Tahoe-area resorts is the "sierra cement"...they get a ton of snow but sometimes it can be pretty heavy.
You're not kidding. When driving from Reno to Sacramento I saw a full size snow slow with what appeared to be another plow attached to the top of the roof. Figured it was just transporting it instead of putting it on a trailer until I saw it in action 10 miles later pushing the bank back with it. At the time the bank was above the snow plow itself. It makes Buffalo look like the desert compared to there.
Well this thread got derailed rather quickly. At least when Remy and Fishman were arguing about the ECAC-W SOS, it was about DIII Hockey!
Anyway, carry on. I've never skiing, and don't have plans to anytime soon.
Been? Liked? Enjoyed???
