Re: 2013-14 Season predictions - the crystal bawl awards!!
First off, the top 5 West v. East showdown will never happen because East teams rarely come out West to play. If you can't beat SNC in your own backyard you'll never beat'em at the Cornerstone.
Secondly, isn't the Primelink out East ? Just like the Final Four and most other Tournaments you'll use to try and prove your point.
BTW,One of the 'virtual nobody' teams that Adrian plays, Lawrence, lost to Adrian 3 times in the past two years by a goal and tied them twice. This past season Lawrence played Oswego in the Pathfinder, at Oswego of course, and trailed mighty Oswego 3-2 after the second period. LU played nearly the entire 3rd period shorthanded. Surprise the Big 'O' won.
* Note that Lawrence's leading scorer didn't play in that game, and that LU only had 3 senior skaters last season, and had 12 underclassmen playing v. Oswego's senior laden squad. That game should have been a blowout after the first frame, but it wasn't.
Adrian is hard to figure as they play virtually nobody during the season. They were impressive a few years back in the FF though. EC last year was like a semi-pro team with guys plucked from DI teams in a "win now" season. Hypothetically, if you put the top 5 eastern teams up against the top 5 western teams, the east is winning at least 3 IMO.
