.@QUBobcatHockey loss Sat, tie last night. Last QU "winless" weekend Nov 18-10, 2011 at Colgate, Cornell says @QUSID. WOW! @USCHO
Garteig looked shaky all weekend. Maybe he, and the rest of the team, are mortal after all? Finally a team outshoots the Bobcats and Garts just can't make the big save when he needed to.
Is that why it hurts more? I know we've been spoiled by the success of this team, but I just hate losing games that we could have won if we played our way. Maybe it's fatigue, maybe it's the fact that other teams are figuring us out. Whatever it is, it's painful simply because of how good we've been. That is over 2 years since this has happened.

I realize there's still a lot of season left so maybe it's just time to sit back, take a deep breath, and enjoy the holiday season. This too shall pass.
No need make sense out if it for me Seth. I was wallowing in my misery quite nicely.Or maybe the team is just slumping. It happens to every team. The fact this team hasn't had a slump like this is over two years is **** remarkable. But it's a slump. The holiday break comes at the exact right time. Hopefully the practice time will help break the bad habits and get them back on track.
Thanks Who! We've all been here at one point or another... doesn't mean we have to like it though.Union fan's thoughts. Don't worry, this team will be fine and make a deep run. Extremely young teams hit speed bumps but in the long run benefit from the challenge. Last night it was our first years' turn to shine, but just visualize what yours will be in months and years to come.
After last year, it's nice that people are noticing us. Of course, that's part of the problem because if we don't do well then the naysayers will label us as one-hit wonders.I was talking to a few other people there last night and everyone mentioned how good QU has looked this year, which I thought was kinda odd, because I think they should be playing better (I think we all do).
Funny how this works, huh?Yeah, they are in a good spot and this is something I would have been excited about two years ago, but after last year a weekend like this past one just bums me out.
You guys that know me know that I want that real banner as bad as anyone. However, I think I'd trade that to have a perennial contender that gets recognition on the national stage. You can't take four or even three points out of every weekend, but anything less is a disappointment for me --- Which I think is a good thing for Bobcats fans. It shows that we won't be happy until they raise a real banner in that building.
And there are STILL Pecknold haters out there?!As I think about it, in the 7 short years I've been following the Bobcats, we've never had a losing season, have had 2 trips to the league championship weekend, and played for a national title a mere 7 months ago. There are several teams out there that would love that kind of record.
I see I've lost my job! Some weekend stats from some of the BCHL recruits.

Amazing, huh?And there are STILL Pecknold haters out there?!![]()
I think that's the paradox... "middle of the pack" after being "top of the heap" is tough to accept. If anything every Bobcats fan should be happy as hell considering this is a rebuilding year. After losing all those seniors I expected QU to be "middle of the pack".
Or you're just late to the party. You can always blame the time difference!I see I've lost my job!
That's exactly what it was. Sat down at the PC this morning to gather the stats and someone beat me too it.Or you're just late to the party. You can always blame the time difference!![]()
Make that 2 spots... we were 5th last week. Consider it an early Christmas present because I thought for sure we'd drop further. We may fall more before play resumes as other teams around us still have games. With a one point weekend we drop 1 spot in the USCHO.com poll to 7th.

I watched him interacting with other coaches and scouts at the BCJHL Showcase. Looked to me like he was on very friendly terms with them. He seemed perfectly normal to me.Likeability and success are two different things. We just don't like him. The couple of times I met him he had the social skills of a 6 year old. Heck, in college, his own team mates wanted him off the team! What does that say about him?
