Re: 2012 Presidential Election 5: Election Day Countdown

ESPN is reporting some critical early numbers from Ohio which show:

Ball State--14
Toledo--7 early in the second quarter.

Re: 2012 Presidential Election 5: Election Day Countdown

Well, Michigan was a "battleground state" for about .7 seconds.

As expected by everyone sane.

Re: 2012 Presidential Election 5: Election Day Countdown

PA to the President.

It's the beginning of the end.

Re: 2012 Presidential Election 5: Election Day Countdown

CBS (fwiw) has Ohio, Sconnie and New Hampshire "leaning" Obama and Obama has a nice early lead in Colorado...

Re: 2012 Presidential Election 5: Election Day Countdown

CBS called Wisconsin for Obama...so much for Paul Ryan...

And they called NH as well...

Testicle Tech!

You used to be able to get a t-shirt in Indiana saying: I'd rather Ball U than I U. Clever Hoosiers.

edit: Back on topic: Holy cow these Florida numbers are tight.

Vigo County in Indiana went for Obama narrowly. Apparently Vigo county has picked the winner in all but 2 elections going back to 1892. In every presidential eleciton since 1960 the split in Vigo has been within 3% of what the national split has been.

Re: 2012 Presidential Election 5: Election Day Countdown

Romney at 153 now. He will probably win Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, Missouri, Montana and Utah, as well as the 2nd CD in Nebraska, which will bring him to 191.

To win the election, he must win Colorado, Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, which would bring him to 257.

There are 2 paths left from that point: (1) win Ohio to get to 275, or (2) win Iowa and Nevada to get a tie at 269 and a certain win in the House. New Hampshire could put him over the top in scenario (2), but is otherwise unimportant.

The applause on the desk on MSNBC is ridiculous. I've spent most of my time watching that and I'm waiting for the producers to just hand the "analysts" a bunch of blue pompoms.

I'd pay to see Chris Matthews in a cheerleader outfit, as disgusting as it would be.

I don't know why he's getting such a megaboner. Any sane person could see Romney was the overwhelming underdog.

Re: 2012 Presidential Election 5: Election Day Countdown

Because he was called out for saying it wasnt as close as everyone pretended it would be. He got it right he has every right to gloat about it.

Now will Dick Morris mea culpa for being completely wrong...we know Newt wont :p
