I'll try and redeem this thread with a short story of how, during one of the TV timeouts when the arena was quieter than normal (so, really REALLY quiet), after we heckled the Air Force goalie for 50 minutes or so I yelled "TORFFFFFFFFF!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICEEEEEEEEEEE!" He heard me, turned around, gave us a nod and a wave, and went back to doing his thing. It was cool; we were pumped.

BC's ability to cycle 4 lines & 3 pairings in all situations just wears down other teams.

Anyone else catch the fakeout by a linesman on one of the draws in the BC game? What a putz. Drop the puck and get out of the way.

Why on earth is the Final game at 8pm? It's not like there's another event at DCU earlier in the day and it's not as though the NCAA has something against day games.

Puzzling. UMD has to spend even more on hotels and meals because of this, which might have been the idea all along. You know the team isn't going to fly back after the game at 1am from an airport with no one in the control tower.

Congrats to Maine on a terrific season. A couple bounces go the other way and they're playing tonight. Dogs can't take stupid penalties again tonight or it's going to be a very long game. We'll see how much they have left in the tank after last night.

My school does this...cycles 4 lines religiously. And we have played UMD a number of times.

The game will hinge in large part as to indeed whether UMD wears down...but also if they can get on track. Sometimes they do...sometimes they don't. But they were the #1 team in the country for much of the year with the most average goals nationally playing in a stingy wcha just from the games where these two lines did get on track.

We'll see. Hoping for a whale of a game.

TimP if you are indeed a BC fan then the College should be ashamed of you. Your ability to have an open forum, even about something as frivolous as this, speaks to the the sacrifices that are made by the armed forces...and you , you lip flapping, limp wristed poseur are a true tool, and shoul be given an elbow to the head

TimP is not anyone the vast majority of BC fans can associate with. Read his other posts. Most of them are about his extreme far left political stands. He espouses hate toward Christian views and is Obama's top cheerleader railing against anything to the right. Please don't associate him with the rest of us real BC fans. We disown him and are really not sure if he is even a BC fan at all or just an instigator using BC as a cover.

Good luck to Minnesota-Duluth. A little more depth in lines and a little better goal tending. Maine had a great year and exceeded all my expectations. BC being the only team left from Hockey East, I sort of want them to win. But, then again I don't.:)

yeah, i get that. I used to root for all HE teams in the tourney with the exception of the one down the street (understandable i think) until i saw hoards of Maine fans gleefully cheering( like THEY had won ) when Michigan St scored the game winner in 2007. So, at that point, they joined BU on my short list of HE teams i can't root for............so, from this seat, the feeling is mutual:)

I echo the congrats to UMD - they were a better team when it counted. Maine seemed to lose its jump after the first UMD goal and certainly after the weird bounce off the glass tied it up. That one clearly rattled Sullivan and the whole squad was not the same from that point on.

Thanks to the seniors for a terrific ride. We shall see what future Black Bear rosters give us, but it would be hard for them mirror what this team gave us.

Today is the final day for Hobey Baker fan voting - cast your ballot for Spencer. At this point he is leading Hunwick by a slim margin.

air force hung around far too long and i think the tv timeouts helped them because it limited the advantage of BC's depth on the lower lines.

I was wondering about that during the game and I think I agree. During the second, we kept the puck in play in their zone for what seemed like 10 minutes, and since play never stopped, the media timeouts never came (until they got two back to back with like 6 left in the period). But you could tell during that stretch that we were gradually wearing them down and taking over; unfortunately we couldn't put it in the net during that stretch
