I saw Minny play at Denver. Minny is pretty good, very fast. And... they trap.
BC has better trappers. Kyle Rau hates the trap.
Gophers will have a chance if they can trap Jerry York in the locker room. ;) :p

Well, you finally defined your trap for us. So, 3 forwards forchecking and 2 d-men holding the blue line, pinching once in a while, is THE TRAP! Hell, 5 guys on the ice is a trap, right?
Let's keep this simple. The team that dominates the other is trapping, the team being dominated sucks. K? :cool:

Youre using the Denver series as your reference? Hopefully York follows your lead.

Oh and regarding BC's being the top overall program...first put a dent in the Boston market before making any claims as few in your home market even care about BC hockey. ;)

Your ignorance of the Boston market is quite apparent. There are tons of colleges in Boston and the surrounding area so many people here aren't BC alums and don't feel a connection to the school or hockey program (there are exceptions, like myself). There is also the fact that Boston is a pro sports town and BC or any other hockey program could win the next 7 national championships in a row and no one would bat an eye.

I said all of that? Holy cripes I'm getting forgetful. ;)

Western folk sure are defensive. I guess I understand why, considering many EZAC schools have far more hockey history than any western school. ;) :D

I saw MN play at West Regional and you are right they are very good, very fast. And ....if you worry about the trap.....
BC will be like Carl Spackler from Caddyshack - the Gopher wins.
Eagles will have a chance if the Gophers stay in the locker room.

I think you mean we're offensive. You said that you watched the gophers at the denver series...and that they trap. I'm perceptive like that.

Well it shouldn't be. I was as avid of a college hockey fan as there is in Boston during my recent 3 years living there. Knew quite a few people...never even heard of a BC fan (although I assume they exist).

Your two other points are valid...BC being a small amount of the fanbase and it being a pro town. I would add that hockey is pretty much spectator sport in Boston...in Mpls its as much personal lifestyle (self, friends, family have played) as it is spectator. That's probably why MN has the country's best fanbase. :)

Big game today! Hope BC can hold their own against the mighty Gophers and doesn't get completely blown out!
