2012 Frozen Four: Union vs. Ferris State; Minnesota vs. Boston College

Re: 2012 Frozen Four: Union vs. Ferris State; Minnesota vs. Boston College

If the Gophs win I still would be probably not cheer against the Union/Ferris winner...it would almost be a win/win.

So make college hockey your religion and kill two birds with one stone.

Even better push your uncle down the stairs and stop basing your life around hokey 2000 year old fables.

Rocco's uncle is probably a nice guy, why would anyone push him down the stairs?

Will the resurrection of Union hockey, begun almost forty years ago, be complete by Easter 2012? How fitting!
Good thing they don't play Friday.

Go Union. Briefly.

Single for Opening Day Yankees vs. Rays on Friday

I have one extra in section 119 row TT for Friday's home opener at the Trop. Price depends on demand. Will also consider a trade for a single all session ticket. Send me a PM through USCHO if interested.

This match up has potential to be a classic.

Agreed. I'm really looking forward to this game. I think it winds up being a 3-2 type game, possibly overtime(s), and the goalies stand on their heads.

I think the points I made there are more than fair. As for this comment (i corrected the many grammatical errors)...

"Gopher fans really look like buffoons this week. Really you'd think they would know better after seeing BC blow out the WCHA for the better part of the last 15 years." (a time period in which the WCHA has 7 national championships)

Is this the kind of garbage you really want to defend?

No doubt it's annoying, but you have a few gems from your own:

the whole B10 thing was hilarious. in reality, minny lost the most by having to leave the wcha for the b10 but their fans were the biggest cheerleaders trying to act like it was a good move and the b10 would be superior to all other leagues regardless of how many awesome rivarlries it was going to kill

Gophers fans lamented the B10 being forced upon the program from the start. Now that we're stuck we as fans will try to make the most out of it. Whatever, but suffice it to say there's no ivory tower here.

Clueless idiots post on message boards?

I'm shocked.

At the TBL/Caps game tonight, lots of bouncing pucks, but they're heavily advertising the Frozen Four via signage outside the rink. Should be a great time. I'm doing my part to advertise behind the Lightning penalty box tonight in my road SLU jersey.

Also, for those wondering what to wear to the game, I'm VERY comfortable in shorts, sandals and a jersey with a tshirt underneath. Not a cold rink at all on ice level.

I laughed out loud at that one too. Kind of sad how empty that board is though.

Re: 2012 Frozen Four: Union vs. Ferris State; Minnesota vs. Boston College

I am worried that Minnesota will beat Boston College and that will prevent a Union College vs Boston College final (If Union gets by Ferris). Since January:
B.C is scoring 3.54 goals/game and holding opponents to 1.67 goals/game (22 games)
UNION is scoring 3.95 goals/game and holding opponents to 1.66 goals/game (21 games)
This year I believe they faced similar strength during this period. I believe that the ECAC was stronger than in previous years and down the stretch UNION faced the best of the ECAC while B.C., except for Maine, faced more of the weaker teams on its schedule.

By contrast, since January (20 games) Gophers are giving up an average of 2.4 goals/game and scoring an average of 3.2 goals/game. Yikes!
